Wow what a hidden gem! Great for anyone... For small kids there is a playground and they can run around for ages! Food was so scrumptious, as was the coffee. Breakfast and lunch menus, check for the dinner nights. Friendly staff. Would recommend booking, particularly lunch as it was getting busy. Lovely view looking down the paddock.
Loved everything about Eltham Vally Pantry. Service was great and food was even better. We had a nice table outside overlooking the pecan farm. It was so peaceful. Such a beautiful way to start your day.
Amazing food, tasty and beautiful. Great green surroundings, highly recommended!
Simply delicious and fascinating place for coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee, pecan brownie and Portuguese tart. On top of that, enjoy the warm welcome from Ash and Matt.
Fantastic, peaceful atmosphere. Friendly wait staff and magpies. Kid friendly
An amazing and wonderful experience every time! We’ve had breakfast, lunches and coffee here in the past, but to top it all off we were married and had a long lunch for 20 people in the gorgeous pecan orchard here in November 2019. Have nothing but extreme praise for Ash and her wonderful team. Food, service and atmosphere were superb! Staff were professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They were wonderful and looked after our guests 8 of whom were over 80 years of age extremely well. Guests raved and described it as the best wedding they had ever attended. Ash took care of all the details, such as flowers, cake, table setting, which were perfect, and we had the most amazing, relaxed and fun day. Thank you all so much for the life long memories and absolutely magical start to our married life. A most special place and we look forward to returning again and again. Thank you all SO MUCH. Love from Kim and Peter.
The service was great. Drinks were great. Food was very disappointing. We had the Ploughman's Platter and a Pecan Platter. On the menu, it says sourdough but for some reason we ended up with sourdough, but the fruit toast one. This clearly doesn't go with savoury dips! The meats were also disappointing. I was really looking forward to the dishes, but I don't think I'll be going back. The burgers were good and so was the spinach and feta roll.
What a picturesque, tranquil, charming place to enjoy lunch! This character filled restaurant is set amongst rows of beautiful pecan trees and feels a million miles from anywhere. The creative menu was delicious as was the coffee, all delivered just about simultaneously for our group of 17. Brilliant. I was really impressed with the service, with very considerate staff taking care of us right through from booking to packing up our leftover cake as we departed. Shout-out to our waitress Amy who was a legend! They were kindly flexible with accommodating our large party indoors when the weather turned chilly outdoors too. Afterward the pecan farm backdrop looked great in photos of our birthday party group - an extra bonus! If I had to find fault in anything, I'd say the portions weren't designed for massive appetites, but it's a quality over quantity affair. Looking forward to coming back again - highly recommended!
My wife and I have been going to the Pantry for years. We always have such a nice time. The setting is amazing and so pleasant. Plenty of seats inside or situated under umbrellas in the garden. Recently we booked a picnic under the pecan trees which you can book form the website. We arrived to a rug setup under the trees with water already there for us. The platter came out with dietary requirements taken care of. Dips, sliced meats, pickles, olives, crackers and home made ginger lemonade. A perfect light lunch for two to graze on. Always such a pleasure.
My partner and myself have been there for breakfast and it has been great. But.. we had our engagement party there and paid a good amount of money for seating to only be treated rudely. They kept forgetting everyone’s drinks and the food came out 2 and a half hours later even though they kept saying food will be out shortly blah blah while everyone else at the cafe was getting served. Also the manager is one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Never coming here again.
