After a long day running our renovation business, visiting Eltham Leisure Centre was a good way to unwind. The centre felt clean and well managed. The facilities were easy to use and well maintained. The atmosphere helped us relax and reset after work. Staff were friendly and helpful. A solid place to switch off and recharge.

Great spacious gym. Very busy so you often have to wait for popular equipment. 24 hour access to the gym for members. The pool area and change rooms are modern and clean.

I have osteogenesis imperfecta brittle bones which can make itnhard for me with exercising. My bones can break easily and I cannbe in a lot of pain. Swimming and low impact are really the bestnchoices for me. I use a wheelchair and would need assistancengetting in and out of the pool.nnMy carer and I visited Eltham Leisure Centre We used the Cérgenapp to let the staff know we were arriving in an hour and that wenwere looking at the pool and would like a tour of the facilities. Inwanted to see if I felt comfortable before promising to swim. It’snbeen a while since I got in a pool, so I had a little anxiety.nnWith the new Cèrge app where I was able to notify staff at ElthamnLeisure Centre that we were coming before we got there. This will be helpful in the future as I can request a quieter place, a separate lane if possible and assistance.nnSometimes the thought of getting to a place and not havingnsupportive staff is a barrier in itself. I have my support workernwhich is fantastic, and she is great but having staff that don’t really know how to help can be very awkward.nnI’m glad I can use the app to tell the staff exactly what I need. Itntakes the weirdness out of watching them work out how to help,nwhether to help or sometimes people just don’t help.nCan you imagine dropping a leaflet and no one helps you pick itnup? It’s embarrassing and annoying! When we arrived, the staffnwere happy and helpful, we were greeted at the front and thenstaff member organised another lady to give us a tour of thencentre.nnThey have 4 pools, Baby, Small heated pool for swimming lessons, Hydrotherapy pool has a ramp, and a 25m lap pool has a ramp.nAll at different temperatures. Toilet and changerooms on poolndeck which is very handy.nnThey had an Aqua class going at the time we went, and it was fullneven being so early. It is great to see the place getting used andnlots happening. The staff member gave us a leaflet which had allnthe timetables for all the classes, and she also put all the prices on the leaflet for me. Of course, after all exercise there is a coffee shopping. Perfect end to the day!nnThe Cérge app is a fantastic tool to be able to ask for specificnthings, we know now we can ask for a quieter space or lane if wenneed that on the day or to let them know we are coming but thatnwe are ok. I will be looking out for more Cèrge facilities.nPlease tell them your needs before you get there which is verynuseful and makes you feel a lot more comfortable getting out and trying new things.

Great pool for lap swimming and a warm water pool for hydrotherapynThere are also toddlers pools , gym, basketball courts, steam and sauna roomsnThere is also a snack bar
