ELA YIRO Greek Street Food

The pork yiro wrap is so good. Meat is tasty with a crunchy texture. And what a nice idea to include fries in the wrap! Friendly owner explained their meats are prepared as per Greek recipe and not Turkish. Love the plates too, they come with a ‘deconstructed’ yiro and Greek salad. Friendly staff, great service.

Great food and friendly staff. The owner Leo is committed to producing the finest traditional Greek cuisine. I recommend the pork kebabs only place in Canberra you can get them, which are incredible and the Greek style choclate eclairs which are so fresh and creamy. Portion sizes are unbeatable as well. Well worth a visit.

Great family atmosphere! Fresh salads perfectly cooked pork and friendly staff and their pizza is scrumptious! Well done finally a place in Canberra that is value for money and yum!

Budget offering at a premium price. A pork yiro at $11.90 had me expecting great things, especially since the waiter said that's their most popular item. What came out was rather disappointing, with measly pieces of pork with a small bit of fries. A €2 or €3 equivalent in Greece would've contained at least double what these guys gave and a much tastier offering too. Prices were generally high across the board and if most were anything like the yiro, it's definitely a rip-off. Went to give it a try as the ratings seem good but was thoroughly disappointed. Won't be coming back or recommending to anyone.

Looks like friends and family have been doing the reviews here. Unpleasant experience all around. Had seen ela yiro advertised and was keen to try as there aren't many good greek places in the berra. Food was a major disappointment, meat was tough and sinewy, pita was dry and tasteless. Service was random, there were things we ordered that we didn't get and after following up we still didn't get everything.

Good food, great service. Shame their website doesn't work yet, but they have pizzas as well. Can even BYO. Would definitely recommend and will be coming here again.
