My favourite coffee in Auckland. It feels like all too often cafes in Auckland have undertrained staff operating coffee machines who are far too comfortable calling themselves baristas. Eightthirty in Ponsonby Central is the antidote to this trend — no BS, genuine coffee specialists who do one thing and do it really bloody well. If you care about good coffee, eightthirty is worth going out of your way for.

Good coffee, choice of espresso or batch filter. Great range of single origin and blended beans available and coffee paraphernalia for sale too. Take away only with limited seating options around.

Went here on the strength of a previous reviewer. Sorry, but coffee was decidedly average and I was left disappointed. Long black was too sweet, without any bite normally associated with a LB. Nowhere to sit and chillax either. There are better places nearby. Bonus is: open on Sunday day until 5pm

Stupidly good coffee. I had walked about 100 metres away before I tried my coffee. It was the best coffee I'd ever had so, after losing my mind over how good it was, I went back and bought another (equally as good) and a bag of the beans it was made from. Usually spy capaccinos are average but my word, go to this coffee place. It's amazing
