In a city full of fitness fads, big gyms and intimidating prices EFM Hawthorn East stands apart. It is guided and intimate, friendly and professional. You really see the value in their personalised style of training without the hefty price tag! The coaches are very inspiring and only push when they think it's okay to push. A true gem.

Sam is a fantastic trainer. Very patient and great at what he does. The atmosphere is very inviting and the other members are so friendly. I would recommend this gym if you a looking a small, intimate and personalised style training sessions.

One thing about EFM Hawthorn East that keeps me coming back, apart from the staff and members, is the uniqueness of this "gym". For me, it's like having a personal trainer without the cost. Over the years, after joining many gyms and then quitting after becoming bored, EFM has kept me coming back over and over again with fun, challenging and constantly varying programs day after day. All the coaches are fantastic and even Nathan's bad dancing at times, can be forgiven for his hard work in keeping me motivated and coming back over the years! Thanks Team EFM Hawthorn East!

Over the years I have had various Gym memberships, which were frequently never used and I am happy to say, I have been a EFM Hawthorn East member for almost 3 years and it is the only gym that I have frequented for more than a couple of months. There are a few differences between EFM Hawthorn East and other gyms that I have joined, but the main difference and I think the most important, is that the staff are not only welcoming and helpful, they know all members by name and if by chance you ‘fall off the wagon’ you can expect to be contacted to find out where you are and why you’re not training. Don’t get me wrong, no bullying tactics, just general interest in their members overall health and wellbeing. As there is no locked in gym membership, you can walk away whenever you want (BUT why would you!?).. and no more forking out money for a gym membership where no-one knows your name or even gives a hoot if you turn up. Also the other great thing about EFM Hawthorn East is the training program which changes daily, no more boring same program day in day out.. You can of course choose to do ‘your own thing’ it’s up to you, but expect a trainer to encourage you to reach your best potential. The Gym itself is well maintained and always clean and tidy; the members are friendly, encouraging and supportive of each other. As a member you receive monthly updates on what’s happening at the gym and there are extra activities and fun social events throughout the year to get involved in - if that’s your thing.. Coach Nathan and Team – Thanks for all the encouragement and keep up the excellent work - I’ll see you tomorrow!

EFM Hawthorn has given me a new lease in life !! Their daily tailored programs are challenging but not impossible!! I was never a morning person but you now see me up at 5.45am hitting the gym every working day to be greeted by delightful coaches who greet every one of us by our names! Coaches Nathan, Steph, Mark and Matt are well versed with what's good for you to lead a happy and healthy life. I would highly recommend their LEANing challenge, it helped me lose 6 kilos in a month. Give it a shot! EFM is certainly not like your "ordinary" commercial gyms. At EFM, it feels like each one of us has a personal trainer! I JUST LOVE IT!
