Wouldn't come here for their customer service but it's my go-to place for birthday cakes. Their kids birthday cakes are beautiful. Order online to pick up because sometimes they don't stock or run out of desired type or size. Best is their fresh fruit cake- pricier than others but tastes the best.

Tbh, I can understand how the covid-19 killed all of the industrial and market directly, but I have never seen such a disgraceful shop like breadtop acted like a mafia team they are extremely mad with money and everything is to trick you as a three-old-kid to entice you taking the cash from your wallet. ರಠ⁠ಗ⁠ಠHere are two real examples I have experienced in recent months and I can share how terrible the shop is. ರ⁠⁠⁠ರ Firstly, this is my personal experience recently, I have bought a piece of bread, but I do not feel really happy about all of a sudden, They said ala you have purchased our product U cannot have any chance to refund with us, and in that point their attitude is acting like mafia team if you still try to argue with them their manager would evict you directly with a puker face. And seriously the team members from this shop are also lacking service training, How could smile with customer's become a biggest challenge for them, even say "hi how can I help U" nicely would bring customers a first impression and attract other to come the shop. Secondly, here is one of a experience from one of my Chinese friends who have been worked here for few months. She worked in the front service, but she told me the environment working here was exactly horrible and sometimes she would help by sending the buns and bread from kitchen to front. And she told me one of the worst time was that, the cheves inside the kitchen were seldomly take any care about the hygiene issues, she saw once the cheves inside served the bakery products by ignoring the dead cockroach in the oven and the pans what a disgusting environment and she quit the job after that experience and told me the colleagues are working like zombies as never smiling with customers and always playing mobile even the customers were coming.ಠ⁠ ⁠೧⁠ ⁠ಠ Please see this review carefully and make a good decision in the future, I would never go to breadtop for any meals and I suggest you guys should notify how the terrible environment you would feel when you enter there.⁠⁠‸⁠⁠
We were very disappointed in the mango birthday cake we bought. The sponge was too wet, and the mango wasn't fresh tasted old - it seemed like the cake had been sitting there for days. It was not worth the price, and it was poor quality.
The counter girl was absolutely rude and disrespectful. Poor customer service and would never come back again. She said rude remarks to us and rolled her eyes a lot. Never come here, there are many better bread places out there. She doesn't even know basic cashier skills! She even called someone blind! Could do with a lot more improvement in customer service!
Terrible service. Purchased several egg tarts and coconut tarts. Asked the lady cashier to put in a container, but she totally ignored my request and served the next customer. The egg tarts were squashed.
For an overpriced breadshop to sell off/soured cream filled buns cream horn you get a one star. Brought the bread in the afternoon I would assume the cream was made in the morning and had since spoiled by the afternoon in the display cabinets. This is probably a result of just poor food health safety and/or logistical practice.
Good selection of bread. Nice mix between sweet and savoury. High turnover means even the deep-fried items never go soggy. Unusually for a breadtop there is even a section with seating and a cafe with drink options. You can also watch the baking process through the window.
Breadtop is often on my way to Eastwood Station to get some buns for my breakfast. The buns are cheap and yummy. My favourites include Spicy Beef and Taro buns.
I would say that their products taste pretty good, though prices are bit higher than the other bakeries in Eastwood, it worths to pay a little more for their quality products.
