Been there many times. Food just couldn’t make the mark. Lamb roast was so dry and hard, toge with the roast veg. The sauce was just starchy. Twice we had veg lasagne. The lasagne was the smallest serve, that seemed to make up with 2 large slices of garlic bread. Not value for money. Soup portion size is small for what you pay. Bangers and mash, only the mash is tasty. Sauce is artificial and starchy. Pork roast, portion size is small for the price. I had better taste and portion sizes at other clubs. Ravioli has hardly any fillings. Rump steak was tough and sauce starchy. Overall disappointing despite several visits to prove myself wrong. However, there was no recompense inspite of feedback. Poor P.R. I get better quality for the same price at other clubs. Hope to see some improvement soon. I feel sorry for the waitress who did a good job but serving substandard food.
We had a catered two-course lunch for our work function, and it was fantastic! The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and arrived right on time. Everyone commented on how delicious both courses were — generous portions and perfectly balanced flavours. The service was friendly and professional, making the whole experience stress-free from start to finish. Would definitely recommend them for any corporate event or special occasion.
We had a private function for my daughters 21st.nFood was divine, cannot fault. Came out on time. Compliments to the chef, thank you, everyone in the kitchen.nService was awesome, Thankyou Kelly, you were such a darling, making sure we were happy, asking if we needed anything, very professional alright, and can not complain.nWeather was prevailing, but everyone managed alright. Thank you very much.
A bunch of us 25 went for lunch and it was my first time to this tavern.nnReally nice place - nice and small as against others; pokies away from the bistro, nice and comfortable decor and furnishings.nnThe mains came out really quickly although one girl sometimes 2 carrying three meals at a time was very time consuming for her - a tray or trolley that they could carry out more would be so beneficial to everyone!nnThe only pointers that lost one star were those who ordered steak didn't get theirs until after the rest of us had finished; there was no tartare sauce with my fish so the meal was quite dry and one couple who were late had to sit away from the rest of us which was a real shame as it was his birthday!nnThe food was delicious I saw many of us devouring their food with gusto.nnWe all said we'd be back!
Nice place to enjoy a night off cooking. Lovely staff and area. Play area for little ones if you have them. We were both really happy with our meals.
