Kia ora. I recently attended a funeral for my stepdads family. His sister passed away and I went along to support him and my Mum who have been together for 36yrs. On arrival to the place, it provided a warm welcome feel. The service was well organised and showed a human touch to it. I would ask though that when family members are asked to speak that the funeral director does a simple thank you rather than provide an opinion on what has just been shared. It takes away the moment from the family or friend who has shared previous memories. My stepdad commented on how good the food was, however as most of the family and friends were 80+yrs old there were very few chairs to cater for the elderly, perhaps in future when this does occur, there is adequate seating for our elderly at the cuppa teatime. Overall, it was a very warm, kind and caring service and I would consider using Eager Funeral Services. Ngā mihi nui.
My review of Eagars Funerals is well overdue, but is still given with great appreciation and high praise. When my father died the Eagars team was outstanding in every single way. I worked closest with Richard, but Casey, William, Kelsey, Ashleigh and Spencer all played an important part in his final journey. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I never, for an instant, felt I wasn't listened to or that my ideas were not set as paramount to the process. Richard steered us through the maze of decisions with quiet strength, broad knowledge and fail-safe advice. As it was a funeral with full military honours, Richard's personal military experience was invaluable. The team were well-organised and so, so kind and always available to advise and help. They understood every nuance of grief and the surrealism of losing a loved one. They treated my Dad with such huge respect and it gave our family comfort and joy to see this particular aspect of their team style. Everything was done perfectly. Thank you all so much Eagars Funerals. You were the perfect choice for our family and we will always be grateful for the extra distance and professionalism shown by you all with the added smile and the always 'can do' attitude. Thank you again Team Eagars. Lest we forget.
Having my partner taken from me far too soon was such a traumatic and tragic event that I was not even sure how I would go on. To then turn around and prepare an event of such magnitude really is surreal, but wrapped in the support of Eagars, who's care and attention carried me through was incredible. Their patience, calmness and professionalism made me feel like we were the only ones to have ever lost a loved one. Their attention to detail across all aspects, from the in-house care of both Brad and I to ensuring our send off was nothing short of a top class event in a matter of days really is a tribute to the entire team. Casey, Nicky Kelsey and team, I am forever grateful for your assistance in getting us all through this most difficult of times. Thank you, Nikki.
Eagar’s Funeral Services delivered our Brothers funeral on 23rd October. Casey and William were exceptional very professional, caring and gave us great advice in preparation for the funeral. The Chapel was an awesome setting to celebrate my brothers life. There was a large number of people in attendance and the additional screens for viewing were brilliant. We were also able to stream the funeral live for people who couldn’t attend. Casey was so sensitive and empathetic when dealing with our family. Everything had a personal touch in the delivery of all their services. We highly recommend Eagars to deliver a funeral to the highest standard.
When my Dad passed away recently, Casey, Kelsey and the Eagars team could not have been more wonderful. They were so accommodating, professional and nothing was too much trouble, despite the longer timeframe in the lead up to the funeral. Eagars asked us to trust them in the funeral process and I'm so glad we did, the personal touches they added made for an amazing send off for Dad. The Te Henui Chapel is so lovely and was perfect for our ceremony. Thank you Casey and Kelsey, for making a extremely difficult time for my family very special.
I highly recommend the outstanding services provided to my family by Eagars Funeral Services, New Plymouth. When Mum was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in June this year, and given a poor prognosis of weeks to months to live, she decided to face this situation head on, she wanted to be actively involved in the planning of her funeral, and she wanted to meet and feel comfortable with the funeral directors that would care for her when she died. So we set out to visit and inspect all of the funeral homes in New Plymouth. The decision to use Eagars Funeral Services over any of the other funeral homes was an easy one to make. We were all won over by the level of compassion, care, respect and professionalism shown to Mum and to us by Richard, Casey and their dedicated team. Eagars facilities are also outstanding and are set in a quite special tranquil tree lined location, with an elegant funeral home building and their stunning Te Henui Chapel. Richard was our funeral director and from the start to the finish we felt comfort and trust in him to handle all aspects of Mums care and her funeral service. His ability to focus on what is important to his clients was much appreciated, nothing was too much trouble and we were absolutely impressed with the way everything was handled. This was the perfect location, and we had the perfect funeral director to help us celebrate our Mums life and to say farewell. Thank you. PS. Dad has informed us, that he has decided to book in with Eagars when his day comes. Sue Eustace
Casey you were amazing. Thank you to you and Jivanni for looking after Mum, she looked amazing. The photo tribute song was wrong and I sent through the right link and double checked because that was important to us and I got told it was right.
To Casey, Richard, Glenn and Nicky, Thank you so much for your help with Dad’s funeral arrangements over the last week. You made it as easy and comfortable for our family as it possibly could be. We are very grateful to have been able to use your services. Eagars are completely professional, extremely caring and thoughtful, with amazing attention to detail.
Mum and I had visited Eagars and the Chapel a few years ago and they did not disappoint when Dad passed away in June. Casey was so professional, well organised and caring. She was great to deal with even when we changed some details. The staff were always available to put us at ease and guide us through this difficult time. The chapel is wonderful and I am sure Dad enjoyed his last ride in the Cadillac.
Having our beautiful Pauline taken away from us so suddenly was the most devastating event for so many family and friends. The pain and emptiness was numbing and we so wanted to have a farewell that would celebrate the wonderful , loving person that she was and would reflect her love of life and the people who she touched with her grace, style and endless caring. Eagers were superb in all facets in arranging a funeral that encapsulated all that Pauline was. They, Casey, Richard, Kelsey and Nicky were the ultimate professional team . They understood our requirements from the start and we had full confidence that the service would reflect this- they delivered in a service that was unforgettable. Nothing was a problem, nothing was too much to ask- we are indebted to you. Your use of technology meant that so many friends overseas were able to watch the service as though they were there personally- what a bonus. A classy farewell for the classiest of ladies .
