Story

Downlands College is an independent, coeducational, catholic, day and boarding school for Years 5-12. Situated in a superb location in the regional city of Toowoomba, Downlands provides a full range of facilities in a peaceful setting of beautiful avenues, parks and gardens.
Founded by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in 1931, the College began as a boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 68.

Downlands is Queensland's only independent Catholic, coeducational, day and boarding school. The school has an enrolment of approximately 290 boarders from regional Queensland, interstate and overseas and also provides casual boarding to its day students.

At Downlands, we strive to follow the vision of Jules Chevalier, founder of the MSC, who wanted to make known the Gospel message of God's love and care for all men and women and to evoke a response in every human heart.
