I had an amazing meal! I ordered the prawn on garlic and the grilled snapper fish, and both dishes were cooked to perfection. The prawns were juicy and succulent, with just the right amount of garlic flavor to make them deliciously savory. The grilled snapper fish was also fantastic - the fish was flaky and tender, with a wonderful smoky flavor that complemented the natural sweetness of the fish. The service was also excellent - the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They helped me choose the perfect wine to pair with my meal, and made sure that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! Had the family pack with 4 pieces of cod, calamari, prawn cutlets and chips. Prawns were big and delicious. Calamari was so tender. Fish had crispy batter. Chips fresh and crisp. Everything was freshly made, not frozen. 5/5
Good fish and chips and we were served pretty quickly. Can get very busy with queues out the door during peak times a good sign, but they coped well nonetheless. Dining in available under the covered area, or takeaway for a walk on the nearby beach.
Milkshake was nice. Serving size was nice for the price. However, it was a quiet morning and waited 20+ minutes for my take away order. Would not recommend battered fish as the batter was thick and dense, and still raw. Taste of the fish was ruined by the taste of raw flour. Extra charge for battered too so opt for crumbed as they may do this better.
Great experience of fresh Seafood variety, with hard working Aussies sharing their love and passion. Love the seaside of Sandgate, you can't go wrong there! However the food is pretty average which is a disappointment. The first visit 8 months ago was awesome, fresh food and meals. Great flavouring, and loved it! This could have remained as a 4 star rating However in the past 8 months up till most recently, it has been a bit of a mixture. Sometimes the meals were spot on but in the past 3 months the meals have been average or sometimes tasteless. Either the chips were over cooked or the fish were not cooked enough or didn't feel fresh. Sometimes the meals were greasy but most of the time it wasn't so I'm not sure what's the deal there Unfortunately my rating has dropped down from this a fair bit and I hope things will improve soon. It doesn't stop me from going here from time to time, because a lot of my friends recommended this place but as I said hope to get that awesome experience back soon!
My kids took me here for a Father's Day lunch said they had read it was the best fish N chips in Sandgate . Have to I was very impressed everything was cooked just right totally enjoyed the pack we selected highly recommended.

We heard good things about this Cafe. My husband and I chose the seafood basket each. Prawns and calamari - beautiful. Chips ok. But sadly the Barramundi was dirty tasting like mullet. At the seaside we expect Barramundi from the ocean and not from who knows where.
The seafood was absolutely delicious! My Mum grew up in the Whitsundays and we've had seafood all our life, so it'd be safe to say that we know what we like lol. We bought crumbed fish, chips and a kids pack with barra strips and calamari ... so so good. Tender, light crunchy crumb. Eating it picnic style on the foreshore was perfect.
