My brother recommended me to Doug Disher Real Estate to rent my unit at St Lucia. It was suggested that I speak to Jaclyn the Business Development Manager to arrange for my unit to be rented.  I found Jaclyn to be a very effective communicator and nothing was any bother for her to attend to. All queries were answered promptly at every turn. Jaclyn would phone me from time to time to ensure I was satisfied with the rental side of things and not hesitate to call her should I have any queries or concerns.   I've had experience with a number of different Agencies to rent a property and in my years of renting properties Jaclyn stood out to be one of the most effective people I've encountered.   I have no hesitation in recommending Jaclyn.

Having received an excellent service from all the staff at  Doug Disher Real Estate as my property manager for 14 years I naturally turned to them to sell my property when the time came for it to be done. Their service continued to be excellent.  Doug provided good advice that was without pressure and always with respect to my wishes or concerns. As a self-managing landlord, I was searching for a property manager who would genuinely assist long term tenants through a break lease process & manage the property ongoing.  And Wow…. what a find!  I came across Jaclyn at Doug Disher & with one phone call, knew she was the right person. Not just sounded good, but the right fit. This was a property manager I could work with overtime.  A highly polished personal style focusing on both owner & tenants needs. Her experience of the industry is self-evident. She has great process knowledge, organized & on the ball re current legislation & risk management. I was very happy the way the tenants were assisted in a kind & genuine manner.  Over the years, I have engaged a series of property managers only to find omissions & poor follow through. From what I have experienced so far…. those days are gone.  And while Jaclyn may not manage the property day – day, I am very confident that her oversight will be available if required. We even had a laugh along the way.  A great job very well done.

I am living in a fully furnished house. Some of the furniture sofa and mattress were kind of old and I asked my property manager Oscar Renderos; Doug Disher Real Estate to discuss this issue with our landlord. They replaced the sofa and mattress with new ones. Oscar is amazing. He managed everything very well and I definitely recommend him to anyone.

Doug Disher Real Estate Toowong The greatest support I've ever had from a property manager in my life!!  This story is also for people who are struggling to find a Rental Property in Brisbane West area, feeling exhausted, hopelessness, and like this never gonna end. I feel you...it's so so tough to get a rental property right now around Brisbane. I was one of them until a few weeks ago.  Our rental hunting was quite difficult as my hubby and me both are unemployed job seekers and have a little toddler, although we have enough saving and capable of paying for rent even 6 months+ in advance .  Our current rental unit has a pre-existing/recurrent mould issue in our bedroom closet prior to SE QLD floods in Feb/Mar. I had to take all stuff out/in every 5 months to breach/clean whole the big closet, but smelled mouldy all the time since 2019. So, there is no surprise the floods & weeks of rain and humidity made our bedroom fully moulded. Now we are sleeping in a lounge since then. Our Main Bedroom with En suite door is now totally sealed. We have been sick for 3 years without knowing that was caused by mould and I had been asking property manager/landlord to do something for the closet since 2020. When I rose this issue as a health hazard issue, manager/landlord didn't believe that the mould caused our health issues and just asking us to break our lease. They won't accept the rent reduction or any compensations because that said that "this is a building structural issue: Body corporate has to pay for it"  So, I decided to start looking for a new home for us. My apartment neighbour strongly suggested me to go Doug Disher DD "They will find your place!" She said. But at the time I thought all property managers are the same, doing their "JOBs" for their money, and bare minimum.  Then I met Ms Ivoni Mane from DD. I felt she is a different than other property managers. She knows how to treat people well. She is accountable and responsible to do her job  properly as a property manager. She is a bright person as exactly website profile describes: Enjoy hey job, I can tell.  Ivoni kindly gave me a great understanding and compassion on my situation. Then she asked me what kind of property we are looking for. She made sure that I won't miss out any coming up inspections: sent me emails and checking/reminded me if I can join. I kept failing my applications, but she encouraged keeping my hope. And "Don't worry, I will find your place" she said sounds familiar? Ivoni also well explained some tips for applications to be stand out. How important a cover letter is to provide some personal info and let owners to know you.  She gave me a couple of examples personalised info/reasons that I could include my application.  Guess what? We've got our place in an area we wanted!!! So so happy!!!  Many of managers can be just landlord side and asking higher rent from renters, yet not helping out supporting much for renters. But, Ivoni works and considers for both side. She is an ideal property manager you want to meet. Renting is just a beginning. While you are renting a place, you want to live peacefully and comfortably without having any trouble about your renting place. I'm very happy to be under her care from now on. And I'm happily leaving from current manager who ignores my emails often.
