Enjoyed a taste of Thailand. The Tom yum noodle soup was unique and flavourful. A clear type broth which was different to the Malaysian style Tom yum I've had. This was more acidic and sour. Very nice! We also tried the squid which was cooked perfectly. The papaya salad was what you'd expect. Serving size was great and I thought level one spice was a nice little hit but not very spicy. I also like how you can choose different type of noodles. We came on a weekend around 2pm there was a small queue but only had to wait about 5 minutes. Service was quick and surprisingly friendly - we received some smiles. Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs available but spacing is quite tight. Parking: You can park at QV but public transport is advised
Came here for the spicy noodle soup, and it was amazing! So many levels of chilli to choose from, the noodles and everything in the soup was very tasty. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, felt like I was in Thailand. A huge selection of food to choose from. Friendly staff and the best of all is the cute cat robot machine that delivers your food! Highly recommend this place.
Had a really pleasant experience at Dodger Paidang. The Thai food was very delicious, cooked very well and price was actually great. We ordered satay chicken, green curry, pad Thai and roti bread. All of the dishes came out at a reasonable time. The robot was a cool thing to bring out the food, it is a gimmick experience that's all. I really do recommend you check out this restaurant if you are looking for delicious food that you won't have to wait for it for too long.
A great place overall! The best dish of the night was the pork skewers for me. It was soft and tender, it also melts in your mouth. The sauce that came alongside it was a great match as well. The noodles were good as well however it was a tad bit spicy for a level 1 spice. The squid was mediocre and the squid tentacles were not cleaned. It was hard to eat and whatever was on the squid tentacles were quite a turn off. I’ll most probably be back.
Great place to have an authentic Thai food in the heart of Melbourne. We visited this place to catchup with an old Uni mates. Feels buzzing and alive. We are quite early, if you are late there will be a long queue. If you pay with cash you get 10% discount, that's a great deal.
Located in the basement in a lane way off of Little Collins Street, you would need to know this restaurant is here. Hubby and I ventured down at 6.30pm on a Thursday evening and we were quickly seated, there was plenty of space at that time but it us common for queues to form outside at busy times. You can't make a reservation. As mentioned, the restaurant is in a large basement and there is a lift. The menu is very extensive. I opted for the Tom Yum whilst hubby chose the duck red curry. My Tom Yum was very spicy with a generous amount of prawns, however, I could have done without the lemon grass which I had to keep picking out of my mouth. Hubby said his duck curry was nice but could have done with some vegetables. You place your order via an app and the food is delivered by robots, which is very cool. They offer a 10% discount for cash.
Great tasting Thai food, hidden in the basement off Little Collins St. Could be hard to locate at the start Highly recommend the soft shell crab curry alongside the Tom Yum fried rice and pad see ew. Drinks are a hit with some nice variations. Mango sticky rice dessert to top it off. Can be quite packed during peak times and wait on food. Value: portion sizes have decreased since we last visited 3-4 weeks prior but flavour still spot on.
Good customer service and better varieties of Thai foods. This place looked quiet from out but a complete shock when entered underground, more than 100+ customers. Liked their spice level mentioned on menu card to decide food for our ease.
Quick tasty meals you know well presented restaurant. Prices are slightly elevated and although although the food is tasty it is not top shelf quality ingredients. Even during the busy lunch hour I still found plenty of seating available. Good family environment with plenty of high chairs available. The menu has a lot of traditional chili dishes but they are well noted indicated if you wish to include chili or not. There are in restaurant toilets. You will find plenty of Take Away dishes available.
The green curry was sooo good, definitely coming back for this. The spicy pork bone soup is impossible to eat without using your hands, so it gets a bit messy, but the flavour with the lime and spice was on point. The spicy Dodee noodle was bit too spicy for me even on level one, but the ingredients tasted great. Thai milk tea was also very nice.
