Booked a spot here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Very expensive but nice food. Nice taste, nice presentation. Also a bit slow between dishes delivery, not too long, still bearable. Bonus point for letting us to temporarily put our cake in their kitchen while we are having meal.
Been meaning to come here since they moved to their new location on Wright street, and thankfully the quality of the food has remained! We came with a group of 9 people on a weekday night and it was not too busy, which meant food came out quick and service was efficient. The food was delicious, fresh and good quality. Each of the dishes’ flavour profile was well pronounced. Highlights were the deep fried fish with corn sauce, the stir fried beans, and oyster omelette. One critique I have is that the crispy skin chicken was more on the dry side. Will come back for dinner to try other dishes and I want to come during lunch too for the yum cha.
My boss took us there for our break up Christmas dinner. It couldn't be faulted. The food was very tasty. There was a good quantity of food for consumption. There was a substantial selection for food choices. The drinks list had a large range too. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It wax quiet and relaxing to sit down for a meal. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.
Really love this restaurant, really quality dishes, friendly staff and bosses, our family love to visit this place for dinner. Simple cosy little place. Heard they are moving to a new location nearby. Must visit before they move. Will definitely come again.
Attended on the Friday before the Lunar New Year and there was a lion dance! Very busy as expected but we got a table very quickly and the staff attended to our requests promptly the senior service staff are the same as at the old restaurant site on Gouger St. However, the food itself was dissapointing and not worth the price. The bamboo steamers were not clean and still had old food stuck. One of the oyster shells were missing the meat, were small in size and heavy on the greens to compensate. The peking duck had very little meat.
- Recommend: lava bun, prawn dumpling, mango pudding - Not recommend: chicken feet, bbp pork bun, golden fried squid, fried wonton, egg tart, scallop dumpling Lots of food we ate here in many times. We used to be regular customer until we found another better yum cha place.
15 years and still my favorite place for YUMCHA! It's been 15 years since my first visit this restaurant. Although now they have moved to other location, their food is still very special to me. The best place to have yumcha in Adelaide. Not only just yumcha, but main menus also lovely. My favorite menus are all their sizzlings, sweet and sour pork, Pork bun, squid tentacles, and list goes on. I loved their old fashioned previous one, but the new and mordern look is also good. With the new location, now it is even easier to find a carpark. Hope I can enjoy their food at least doe another 15 years!
Went for a yum cha experience. Not very clean with the mat under the table having holes in it, crumbs on the seats and it felt quite squishy. The food didn’t taste the best, most of it is quite salty. Very expensive as well. The egg tart was 10/10 though.Recommended dishesSalt&Pepper Squid
Awful food and service. The duck fried noodle was served undercooked, overly salty, and oily. They also forgot and lost our order, ended up waited for more than 1 hour for our noodle with three times of chasing them up.
Portions of the dim sum were quite large. Service was relatively good and staff were friendly which is atypical of many yum char places. Will be back again.
