Obviously one of the best beach locations around, especially if you're lucky enough to get one of the beach facing window tables! Tasty dishes to choose from and the service was faster than we'd expected, considering it was a pretty almost at capacity... which if often the case. Just a little disappointing that the fresh juices/frappes taste a bit diluted each time? Still... it's a great place to go for brunch and watch the world go by!
Perfectly located in front of Northern Wollongong beach. We ordered the salmon croquettes and steak. Both were very generous with the portion and decent pricing considering the location. Steak was a bit over done for medium rare but the salmon croquettes is highly recommended. Overall, great beach side cafe with nice vibe and friendly staff.
I heard from the locals that this was one of the best Cafes in Wollongong. I’m not sure if I agree after going here myself. I waited in line for 20 minutes before I was seated and had to wait a further 30 minutes for my breakfast once I ordered. My breakfast bowl was decent and enjoyed that, however, what was called “fresh juice” on the menu was not in fact fresh. It tasted like bottled juice you’d buy at the store or blended canned fruit. Was disappointed with that considering it was pricey. Overall I’m not sure if this place is really worth the wait but if it’s not busy it’s a mid tier place to eat.
It was a wet Friday, but Diggies improved our mood. It is perched close to the blowhole but there is plenty of parking nearby. It looks nothing much approaching but was amazingly light filled indoors & freshly decorated - think beach/Hampton style. There is outdoor seating, but this wasn't an option on our visit. Book to be guaranteed a table as many people were being turned away. Service was with a big smile. The food was up to a good standard. My sister gave her lamb pappardelle for $26 a 9 out of 10. My pumpkin & feta salad for $20 was up to expectations. There were 2 other very interesting salad options I would try next time. We ordered sourdough bread as a side & got a huge serve for $8. We looked out over the water as we enjoyed a glass of pinot grigio each.
Don't. Just.... don't. Go elsewhere. Trust us. We made a midday reservation here for my girlfriend's birthday for lunch with the family. The place was busy being a Saturday afternoon. We waited over an hour for our food. During this time no waitstaff even approached us to ask if we needed another drink. One of us passed around a bag of peanuts while we waited. After two of us went up and complained our food finally arrived at 1:35pm. The steaks were overdone, one meal was stone cold, but by this point none of us were bothered to ask to get it sorted; the sun was due to set in 6 hours and it was agreed that if we sent anything back to the kitchen it'd end up being dinner instead. To his credit the manager comped our drinks, but the absolute drop in quality and basic customer service from the last time I had visited albeit years ago was shocking. Go elsewhere. My girlfriend left the place in tears apologising to everyone for the poor service. We will never be back, and I'll be advising others to steer well clear. Here's a photo of the $28 steak frites just in case you were still on the fence. Disappointed. You used to be so much better. Again..... Go elsewhere.
The club sandwich is absolutely 10 out of 10, you get a nice view and a great vibe by just sitting there. Despite that, nothing else can be taken to compliment. Ordered a large flat white, it turned out to be an 'adultccino', the form part literally occupied 1/2 of the mug, hope the barista know that people order flat white cuz they feel disgusting abt the foam part, which ruins their day. The plum in the granola bowl was so sour, the flavour of the whole thing was too plain and basic, just soso.. All the reason for coming here is just about the view.
Loved it! Had a dirt chai and super delicious healthy brekkie bowl. Would be a great after run spot.
Long wait, bitter coffee, under cooked bacon on one plate, crispy on another. Halloumi, not even cookedand it cost another $5 A waste of $30+ for breakky
This is the small size hot chips we waited 20mins for… real.. small…… Chips were warm-ish not hot, and at least 3 pieces chips were partially in black... not sure they’ve gone bad or something. Didn’t dare to eat. Disappointed :
A very beautiful view of the beach, pleasant place. Good food and reasonable price.
