Our community-run kindergarten boasts a natural outdoor play space, passionate down-to-earth teachers and is in a quiet court location.

Story

At Diamond Creek East we see children as being capable and resourceful learners. We embrace the uniqueness of each individual child and use each child’s current knowledge, ideas, culture and interests to provide the foundation for our program. We seek to facilitate stimulating learning experiences which challenge and extend each individual child in order to help them develop communication and language as well as advance their social, emotional and physical development.

We see our families and children as individuals, bringing with them a variety of backgrounds, needs, tastes and opinions. We honour this diversity - exploring, acknowledging and valuing our similarities and differences within family, cultural, language and other identities. Collaboration between families and educators helps create meaningful learning for individual children. We undertake reflection and also encourage our children and families to reflect on experiences, as a stimulus for embedding learning.
