Ultra professional at what they do. We our dream wedding at Half Acre and can't fault Food & Desire on what they did to make it happen. Extra special shout out to Kaitlynn, our coordinator, who was responsive and just all-round fantastic, and to Tom, our bridal waiter on the night, who everyone just raved about. Everyone loved the food, the staff and the venue!
Last October we celebrated our daughter's wedding at half acre, with the catering by food & desire. It was just a superb event, the room looked fabulous, the atmosphere was joyous & loving, the entertainment was brilliant, the speeches amazing ,& the bride & groom were glowing! Needless to say we had a spectacular night, one that we'll always cherish....but on the down side...the staff appeared out of their depth..mainly small things! Like the fact they served noisy drinks at the bar during the speeches & worse, the staff didn't seem to know how to distribute the food evenly. It was a stand up event with essentially lots of small plates, which we pre selected at a tasting night & based on what we selected there should have been more than enough food. Our major complaint was based on widespread feedback received after the night that guests left hungry!! The day after the wedding my son told me that he & his partner were starving & had actually asked, when offered a desert, if there was any savoury food left & was told there's heaps - what do you want?? Further fuelling our suspicion that food just wasn't brought out! We feel embarrassed that our guests think we under catered! We have emailed management & even called to discuss & were told they would discuss it internally & get back to us asap. Well it's now 4 months later & not a word from them. I have been suppressing my anger & disappointment as to not let it tarnish an otherwise great wedding. Finally I decided to write this review which could have easily been 5 star but for being let down so badly on the catering, & also then not getting a response from the the food & desire people is quite staggering. So I really cant recommend them!
We could not recommend Food & Desire more highly. Yvonne and everyone we worked with were so helpful and accommodating and helped us put everything together for the most incredible wedding day at Half Acre. All our guests raved about the food and service, the attention to detail from start to finish was amazing!
I recently had my wedding at Carousel in Albert Park and everything was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing, the staff on the night were fantastic and our wonderful Event Coordinator Rebecca V kept us calm during the planning process and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. I highly recommend Carousel and Food and Desire!
Fantastic organisation for the event planning - before and during. The food and venue were also outstanding and many of our staff have commented on the fantastic vibe of the day. Thanks Vonny and team.

My fiancé and I have been dealing with Yvonne from Food and Desire and Yvonne has made our experience so amazing. I cannot speak more highly of Yvonne. Yvonne is incredibly responsive, always ready to answer our questions and support us with any concerns. As we are preparing for our big day at the Carousel in September, we've had so much stress, but Yvonne has been able to assure us every step of the way and we are happy knowing that we are in very capable hands.
