Kate was absolutely amazing yesterday in setting up the Queensland Government Digital ID for my elderly 89-year-old father.nnNothing was too hard for Kate even when the computers were not cooperating on her end and ours, she kept smiling cracking jokes and keeping both my father and I entertained while she worked with a colleague in Brisbane to sort out a very complicated problem. The Queensland Government is lucky to have Kate working for them and she is a a credit to the Main Roads Department as an organisation. She’s an absolute gem and sorted out our problem completely.nThank you again, Kate. You made the whole customer service experience seamless, stress free and highly enjoyable being in your company …
The lady at the front ticket counter was genuinely nice and a great person to have greet people as they enter. Unfortunately this experience was quickly negated by the very rude lady I had serve me.nnShe said I wasn’t sitting up straight enough for the photo and I must have a back problem. I didn’t immediately see the provided pen when I asked, so she rolled her eyes and stared at it rudely so my gaze would be directed. I felt like I had to apologise for any question I asked. At the end of the process I asked if that was all and she just turned away, ignoring my question and sorted through her trays. So incredibly rude.nnIt goes without saying that staff at the Transport Department should not be talked to aggressively or with any hostility, as per the large sign at the front of the waiting area. However I would think this should be a two way street. Should the general public be accosted by such unprofessional and disrespectful employees? Looking at similar reviews it’s obvious something is systematically wrong with the management of this government office. Without doubt many complaints would have been made, though no action has been taken to facilitate change.nnI am grateful that I only have to go here once every five years. It will be interesting to see if anything changes before then. When visiting Helensvale TMR, the general public should be aware they may receive very good service, or appalling. Treat the ticket you receive like a lottery. Best of luck.
Probably the only government office that you will leave with a smile. Non of the usual stress and anxiety that you get from usually dealing with government employees. Most people in this place are very friendly and very helpful. And a bonus they actually understand how to do their job. Which is rare find in government
Man behind information desk WAS BITING HIS NAILS ! non stop, while I've been talking to him - it's not only look disgusting and disrespectful towards customers, but extremely unprofessional.nStaff says one thing via the phone and absolutely different thing when I arrived to talk face-to-face.nWhy is that? Looks like staff in need of a training that everyone knows what they are talking about.nExtremely disappointed !
Although it was really busy, I was surprised at how fast I was served and how quickly my licences were sorted out. keep up the good work!
