Surely it couldn’t be De Ja Vu, because never in my life have I ever experienced such deliciously healthy food! Especially in a classy upmarket funky modern eatery right in the heart of Northbridge! We were looking for a unique fine dining experience for our friend’s Birthday and the friendly team at De Ja Vu certainly delivered on all accounts. Welcoming friendly service, cosy warm vibe you could enjoy conversation in, awesome food .. all for a surprisingly affordable price! If you’re visiting for the first time I would recommend one of the Taster Plates, as it features a bit of everything! My personal favourites were the Secret Spiced Sweet Potato Fries with lemon myrtle aioli I could eat these all day!, and the Gloriously Roasted Carrot hummus and dipping delights was melt in your mouth heaven! Thank you De Ja Vu! Looking forward to DeVourIng the rest of your menu on our next visit!
Came here for my birthday, was a great experience. Food was good, drink were interesting and tasty. Fun atmosphere & the staff were super helpful.
Best vegan meal I've had in Perth and the staff are all lovely
Lovely place for brunch good food, atmosphere, staff and service
Quite disappointed by the whole experience. We booked a table for 11 people yesterday and were looking forward to try new things and enjoy the location. We got told the $35 per head tapas course was great value for money so we all went for it. We got sweet potato fries, regular fries, mini burgers, vegetable skewers/ meat skewers and salad. The size of the dishes was clearly not enough, so that when the waiter came to ask us if we were done and wanted to order extra food, we all felt a bit ripped off and shocked as we thought it was only the first course. The food itself was quite good, though only enough for entres or snacks, would had definitely got for something more filling if I would have known how big the food was from the start. Service wasn't really there: no description of the dishes as some of us were vegan and others meat eaters.., not much clearing table can look quite a mess when you are 11, 2 bottle of waters that we keep have to ask to be refilled. Lack of knowledge on the menu and would have been better to be honest about the size of the dishes. Most of the cocktails were great and original. However some spirits ordered came with a massive icecube and had clearly nothing in so we had to return them. We liked that the manager try to fix it towards the end and brought bit of extra food/ shots. But the $53 per head we had to pay at the end still feeling hungry was a bit of a bitter taste.
The food was made intricately with love - the thought and detail married beautifully with the flavours. Definitely a unique experience and an enjoyable one at that. We went for Valentine's Day - and there was a love-themed degustation menu with rose petals galore - making it extra special. Staff probably need to relax a little bit, but that just takes time. Knowing it's a brand new restaurant - they've done exceptionally well at pulling everything together. Loved it and will go back again.
Went in a large group as an end of year do. The service really couldn't cope with drinks and food orders. Nothing wrong when it actually came out, but was just a bit slow. Food was quite tasty. Eclectic cocktail names, with a unique presentation though. Memorable from that point of view. Recommend a cocktail for laughs.
Awesome food and excellent service. Tapas portion size was just right so that we could try fair few times from the menu. I also loved their unique rooftop ambience with the lightings and a cool breeze made it a very romantic dinner for me and my husband. Will definitely go back.
Not our first time here, but gave them another chance. We came for valentines day, their set menu was $69 per person, and it was not worth the money. They gave us complimentary bubbly - which was tied best part with the peanut dipping sauce. The food was not flavourless, but this doesn't mean it was good, and definitely not for the price. will not be coming back.
First up, I ordered from this venue using Uber Eats. I was super excited for this food, I love Tapas, the menu looks fresh and has all sorts of tasty looking offerings. Unfortunately when my $40 of food arrived I was sorely disappointed: my $9 olives ended up being nine olives. Delicious but exorbitantly priced. The only upside of my order was the amazing damper, which was absolutely fantastic. My sliders were lukewarm at best, and the mackrel was as small a serving as the olives. Tapas is meant to be small shared dishes, but this order took "small" to the next level. If I'd spent $30 on this order and it had been for one person I'd have been happy. Alas.
