Purchased a Groupon and came here on a Sunday night for the first time and left with happy bellies. Highly recommend Comet pizza-the second you walk in, you're greeted with the lovely staff. We had the pleasure of being waited by Nicholas best server I've had in awhile he was so friendly and gave us amazing recommendations of what to order. We started with the Antipasto plate to share- which was very generous for two people, then we ordered two pizzas- Spicyred base & the Spinach & Prosciutto white base which were BOTH amazing, the white base was our favourite though : to finish this amazing meal off, we were able to pick two deserts which we opted for the Nutella mouse & Pannacotta. My goodness both of these were delicious in different ways, I had to resist to lick the bowls clean. The restaurant itself is very creative-great interior, lovely menu that has many options other than pizza, and great atmosphere. Did I mention it's BYO! What else could you ask for in a restaurant, this place is a gem. We will definitely be returning!
We ordered the pear and gorgonzola pizza, chilli maple chicken and the satellite pizza through Ubereats. When the pizzas arrived, we were shocked to see that there was no pear or prosciutto at all on the pear and gogonzola pizza! It was literally just cheese. The food took around 40 mins to arrive and we were starving by that point so we didn't bother ringing to complain and wait again for them to deliver the right pizza. But see photo attached. The other pizzas tasted pretty average. I don't intend to order from Comet again.
The pizzas were interestingly different, but didnt necessarily taste better than other pizza places. The staff were extremely friendly.
I was looking forward to checking out Comet pizza because of the positive reviews and photos of mouthwatering food. However the service was slow and it took an hour to get any pizza. We had to cancel a starter which was a cold meat platter that doesn't require cooking. Staff were unsure of what the problem was as well. We ordered the chilli maple chicken and pear and gorgonzola pizza. The dough was incredibly dry and brittle and it was more like eating crackers - a slice flew off the plate when i tried to pull it apart. Maybe that's where the name Comet comes from? Chicken was really dry and both pizzas had non existent cheese. I couldn't taste any gorgonzola on the pear one at all. We left feeling rushed and unsatisfied, have had Dominoes pizza that's been less disappointing. To their credit the staff were apologetic and it is a new restaurant so perhaps it was teething problems since most reviews have been outstanding.
Tasty wood fired pizzas in the heart of Northbridge. Great bases. Service was quick and friendly.
First timer and on a Friday night when it was jam packed! Tom and the crew at comet could do no wrong! Greeted promptly with a smile and checked upon during the course of the night. Customer service, amazing. Had 2 pizzas, and a salad. We watched as the pizzas were cooked to perfection and sure enough, they tasted as good as they looked! Oh. Salad was amazing too! Food, delightful. All of this enjoyed with a fair corkage of $3 per person and great ambience throughout the night. Atmosphere, relaxed. Overall, one of my favourite pizza joint and will definitely be coming back! Like... tomorrow
It's really a great pizza! Love it! Cheese is soooo "cheese"! Ham is also amazing! Wonderful experience!
Comet Pizza is fantastic! Went to opening night and many times since. Never a let down. Tom and the crew are always welcoming, great service with a happy smile. Top 3 pizzas: 1 Chicken Chilli Maple / 2 Spinach and Prosciutto / 3 my favourtite Pepperoni. The perfect Go-To for all your pizza cravings in Northbridge!
Went here with some work girlfriends, wasn't disappointed. Tuesdays you can get a $10 pepperoni pizza when buying a drink. Ended up being $20 pp and we had alcoholic beverages and 3 pizzas, Was very impressed especially for wood fired pizza. They also do split billing which was great and so easy! Definitely would go here again.
The best pizza going round, seriously cool aesthetic, delightful William St people-watching pozzies and the loveliest engaging staff - this place is a true must-visit and getting better each time we visit! Can't think of a more perfect chilled out dinner spot for after catching a show. Congrats Comet!!
