Opted for a spontaneous trip to Ballarat and found Deer Park train station to be a convenient starting point. Currently undergoing upgrades post the level crossing removal project, the station promises a more polished look in the future. Despite ongoing construction, navigating the station was straightforward. However, the car park entrance left much to be desired, with an entrance that could potentially be damaging to vehicles. Hoping for smoother access in the future as the upgrades progress.

This station serves its major purpose reasonably well, but there are a few problems that have to be addressed. While accessing the station is not particularly challenging, it could be a lot better if there was some sort of underpass that made accessing the platform a whole lot easier. There are bus services that stop near the station but hardly any that stop inside the station itself, I think they definitely need to make a designated bus bay and more frequent services so it discourages people from taking up the limited number of parking bays available, which is certainly an  issue for a lot of people.

Awesome location to take the train towards Geelong from deer park station. Super convenient.

Roaming junkie that harasses others coming down from platforms and around the station, nothing done about him. No payphones. Decent aesthetic for a station I guess.
