Recommended by a local to visit this place and it sure didn't disappoint! Seafood was fresh and the portion was huge!! The girls were super helpful, and the food arrived within ten minutes. I'm one happy tourist today!
Out of the three rated fish and chip shops in Mackay, this place was superservice,parking, food quality and table service with a China dinner plate, and cutlery very rare in these days of dining. The staff were polite and well mannered with also a superior clean dining area. We will return for another scrumptious meal.
Ordered 2 pieces of red emperor and a serve of chips was 35 dollars, took one bite into red emperor and tasted like my thong after walking through a shopping centre , no taste tough!!!! I usually catch my own fish so I know what fresh fish is and that wasn't maybe abit of dirty old shark .never going back .
Our food was late to arrive, and the manager handled it incredibly well. Apologetic, professional, and generous. The food itself was great, and the seating area was comfortable with three young kids - ample room for prams, big fans, and highchairs. We'll be back
Delicious fresh seafood at amazing prices! Also, has a list of gluten free items. I got my meal - scallop and prawn skewers, chips and drink for $15.50! Huge range of Fresh seafood at co-op prices
This place is constantly busy, the locals love this place. And when locals love an establishment, the food is great. The food was super fresh.
We've just landed in Mackay after a week of traveling Australia , my daughter been asking for a fish and chips and we finally got it at the best place!!! Thank you very much it was delicious!
I don't eat fish, but their chicken burger is awesome. Two pieces of crumbed fresh chicken, not some frozen commercial patty. Strongly recommend.
Recently ordered fish and chips from Debbie’s. The lady who took my order was lovely and the people I engaged with at the store were also nice. It’s great to able to support a local store who’s worth my money. The food was delicious though a bit pricy. In this economy atm it’s to be expected though. The atmosphere at the cafe is also really nice. Definitely worth a visit
