I took my car here to have the clutch and gearbox refitted after another mechanic completely stuffed it up, and quoted a ridiculous price. I could not be happier with the communication and work done by DC. I had been looking for a great mechanic since moving to Cairns, and I am glad I found these guys. Great team, great prices! Be aware everyone they are scammers and frauds.  They issue roadworthy certificates for defective cars.  I have been scammed by them and that costed me more that 10K but I have reported them to TMR and QCAT and I’ll see them in court.  Replying to the owner:  The TMR stated that the car was defective and unsafe to drive. They didn’t even allow me to drive the car to my mechanic and I had to get it towed.  They labelled the car as defective which I’ll attach a picture of below.  The car was leaking engine oil, turbo oil and fuel and the mechanic still says there is nothing wrong with the car.  I have reported them to QCAT and I’ll see them in court.  I’ll also include a screenshot about what the owner says that the TMR cleared them because that’s a lie.  Beaware Everyone !!!!

Very happy customer. My car broke down, one of the driving belts broke. I was expecting my car to be off the road for a while and a big cost being euro. Took it to DC and they got it fixed for me and returned on the same day, for a VERY affordable price too. You guys are life savers. Thank you!

Took my pride and joy to see Doug and his team. Absolutely blown away by the quality of work performed. 10/10 would recommend taking your vehicle here. Had some major work done at a very affordable price and had good communication throughout the vehicle repair. Huge thanks to Levi who tuned my car as it exceeds what I expected and is an absolute dream to drive. They were very thorough, kept me informed of their progress and the costs associated, and importantly I felt they were honest. They got our car going again as good as new, without the run-around others in town had given us. Absolutely amazing service from Levi he was super helpful with making sure I had the right tune for me. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be bring my car back.

DC Mechanics replaced my alternator earlier this year. Car broke down again, they told me it was a dodgy alternator, and replaced it under warranty. It happened again. When I took it to another mechanic they informed me it was the installation, it burnt through my wiring and I had to have all the wiring replaced. They’ve also quoted me for works that don’t need to be done. Nice people but unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
