Opening hours on Sunday 11-17. Today I caught up with two of my friends in Garden City and decided to have hot chocolates at David Jones cafeteria. It was around 4:10pm. We ordered our hot drinks. 10 minutes in and one of the waitresses tells us that they are closing soon and they need to start vacuum cleaning shortly. She decided to take my half full hot chocolate mug which I was still drinking from without even asking if I am done. I was speechless! Very direct way of "kicking us out" and making sure we are not to spend an extra minute in there finishing our hot drinks. This happened 45 minutes before the closing time!! Very very dissapointed with their customer service.
Great cafe, nice coffee. I enjoyed the 30 minutes rest whilst my lady's shopping her way in David Jones. Friendly service and warm smile by young Sam!
