Stay, play and dine
Visiting the Darwin Waterfront Precinct will feel like a holiday with cool places to relax and plenty to do. Perfect for a weekend getaway at the internationally renowned Vibe and Medina Hotels, the precinct is cradled on the ocean side by Stokes Hill Wharf.

Friendly wharf retailers offer fresh seafood and the best Asian cuisine in one of Darwin’s largest outdoor eateries with panoramic harbour views. Go on a sunset cruise, experience adventure on a jet boat, enjoy some fishing on Stokes Hill Wharf or sit back and watch a spectacular monsoonal storm.

Learn about local marine life at nearby Indo Pacific Marine, sample seafood at Ocean Fresh and take a scenic walk along the new waterfront promenade skirting the iconic Darwin Convention Centre. Inspired by the curves of a pearl oyster, the Darwin Convention Centre is an architectural triumph, creating an eye-catching focal point for the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.

Darwin Waterfront Precinct is a lively destination featuring stunning views, a wave pool, and beautiful walking paths. The area boasts diverse dining options and vibrant markets, perfect for families and couples alike. It's a great spot to relax, enjoy water activities, and soak up the tropical vibe!
Great waterfront precinct, plenty of cafe’s and restaurants to choose from.nKids playground, a wave pool and a free liquid light show over the Xmas/ new years period.nHad dinner at Bellabar and the food was fantastic.nWell worth a look.
We went down to watch the Christmas Liquid Lights on Christmas Eve and they were fantastic! All through the precinct they had huge decorations set up - a gingerbread house, Baubles with lights, Santa's sled and a reindeer also lit up. Santa had been there until the 22 December. There is a huge grassed area, some people had picnic blankets and were having meals. There is play equipment for the kids, a huge Saltwater Lagoon filtered from the ocean, there is a volleyball net on some sand, freshwater showers. There are food places including an awesome ice cream shop around the precinct and a pub, the Madina Vibe is also there.nThe wave pool is also here.nIt's a good area, some free and some paid parking.
Nice and quaint waterfront with a selection of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Clean facilities are available around the area, and it seems to be a central point for small festivals and community activities. There is a taxi, bus, and rideshare drop-off and pick-up area. It felt safe walking around during the day and evening. Most places do close early, so I recommend looking up timings of any shops, restaurants, or cafes in advance. Some restaurants get very busy at night, and it may help to make reservations if they allow it. Had some tasty barramunda at one of the restaurants out on the pier! It's a great place for sunsets as well.
Nice and open area. Both a sandy beach and a lagoon pool available. Water park looks slightly dated and not open during wet season. No life guards on the beach side too.nThe shops are done up really well. Restaurants with plenty of outdoor and indoor seatings. Slightly annoying to find toilets and locked for public safety.... Beautiful walk around the whole area mostly under the cover and well lit at night, with lots of trees. Easy access to the CBD and the wharf from the waterfront.
