Catching trams on route 12 in peak hour can be tricky due to the route using the smaller (A class) trams. Getting off at this stop puts you close to the Sand bar cafe; a nice place for breakfast by the bay

Stop 136 on Tram Route 12 which runs between Victoria Gardens and St Kilda. From this stop Tram 12 heads to St Kilda stopping at Fitzroy Street. If you want to head to the City then you need to walk across to the other Stop 136 on Danks Street

Like many Melbourne tram stops, the major problem with this stop is that seating is very limited and there isn't really much shelter from inclement weather. However, you can always shelter under the milk bar while waiting for your tram (see photos).
