Had a new guy today,6/12/22 very pleasant and easy to deal with, had his first gift card he had not yet done, rather than pretend he knew what he was doing he got help straight away, I take it she was either a Supervisor or Manager, came up and first thing she did was greet me, then proceeded to show him how to do it.... I must admit I was impressed as most old staff don't have the patience to show new staff how things are done. so well done to both of you n thankyou, great customer service at its best...
Good deals, very polite staff with great knowledge on their product range. However as someone who looks quite young I find staff can occasionally come across as unnecessarily rude or accusing when requesting ID, this one thing causes me to generally go for other liquor stores unless I need something specific. I understand it's a challenge requesting such information without making someone feel incriminated but I believe this is something that can be improved upon as I do not experience it in other stores.
Hubby and I went Christmas gift shopping...No sooner had I walked through the sliding door with my trolley, and I was greeted by floor staff, and I asked my question and I spoke with Sarah at the Wonthaggi store, straight away Sarah took me to the area I needed, and even helped me put the drinks into my trolley Sarah then asked if I needed further help, and again she told me the exact area to find my drink selections. Overall very impressed with the floor staff at Dan Murphy's Wonthaggi store.
It is the best store to buy alcohol as there is everything for all tastes and budget. But i shopped there today and the woman who served me was as grumpy and it was as if hrr face would crack if she smiled. Its Christmas for goodness sake crack a friendly attitude.

Great service, excellent product range
Disappointed in range. Wanted to get Central Octago Pinot Noir but only 2 not so good wines available. Very limited range of Eden or Clare Valley Riesling. Ended up with 2 OK Coonawarra. Had aimed to buy about 5 dozen bottles, but only bought 1.5 doz. Good price though.
