Dalson Park is run by a lovely husband and wife team, and all their horses and staff are brilliant! They offer dressage at various levels, jumping, pony lessons for little kids, occasionally hold workshops or dressage days, and during school holidays they run pony camps. The lessons run to time, and you’re able to untack the horses at the end, give treats, etc., if you would like this is my favourite part!. The lesson structure includes a free warm-up, exercises to help improve riding, and cool-down; with the instructors providing helpful feedback throughout that time. It’s a friendly environment which attracts kind people, the stadium is great for people to quietly sit in while you are in lesson, and the facilities are fantastic. This riding school has a great balance of child, teen and adult riders, so it really is for all ages and experience levels.
I really loved taking private horse riding lessons at Dalson Park, especially with trainer Alana—she was truly amazing. Malibu, the horse I rode, was also a wonderful partner. Today was supposed to be my last private lesson, but I mistakenly ordered my Uber to the wrong location. I called to explain and asked if it might be possible to reschedule, but they said no. What a wonderful way to end my whole time at Dalson Park—just perfect. Nothing against the trainer or the horse, but thank you!
I've only been riding at Dalson Park for a short period, but have experienced many other riding schools in and around Brisbane. It is easily the best. The horses are very well trained, not just dumb and numb school horses. I have had four different instructors, and all have been excellent.
I have been riding at Dalson Park for about 6 months and absolutely love it. Robyn is very friendly and approachable, and the communication is fantastic.nnI have ridden in both the private and group lessons, and have loved my lessons with Paige and Alannah. They are able to teach all levels of riding, including people with zero prior experience like me. The lessons also give you a chance to ride different school horses to further improve your riding skills.nnI love that you are given the opportunity to untack and groom the horses after some of the lessons, as it gives me more experience around horse husbandary.nnThey are quite busy and lessons can book up quickly but it's worth it if you want to ride!
I have been having weekly lessons at Dalson Park for just over 12 months now, and can't speak highly enough of the coaches and the school horses. Incredibly professional, kind and really work with you to help you achieve your personal goals. It's evident that they are passionate about what they do, and that their horses are very welly cared for.nnHighly recommend.
