Customs House, one of Brisbane's heritage icons, is located on the river in the CBD. It is owned and operated by The University of Queensland as a cultural, educational and heritage facility.

Story

Customs House is regarded as one of Brisbane's most awarded function and restaurant venues. Customs House caters for both corporate and private functions and is a spectacular venue for a wedding reception. The restaurant provides seating inside in beautiful heritage surroundings or outside on the terrace overlooking the river and the Story Bridge.

Absolutely fantastic. We visited to celebrate my Mum's birthday. The service was impeccable - they even gave mum a special treat with a sparkler for her birthday. Delicious menu, everything was spot on. Couldn't fault this experience.
Fantastic business lunch location! Cold but beautiful day, and we had a great lunch menu to choose from. We went with 2 courses. Reasonably priced and well portioned.
Went to Customs House for some dessert and tea, no reservation, but the team here was extremely accomodating and incredibly polite. Service was second to none. Desserts were all outstanding! Can’t wait to come back and try their main menu.
Had champagne high tea here and it was beautiful. The food was delicious, great customer service, gorgeous views. They need more savoury options for vegetarians aa one of my friends was veggie and she mainly had sweet options until we asked for veggie sandwiches even though we had requested when booking. The staff were really courteous about the whole thing though and overall our experience was great, definitely be back again!
Attentive staff, and lovely view of the river. Well thought out menu. The scallop red curry sauce was superb. The barramundi was delicious, though the sauce is very strong in flavour and does try to over shadow the fish.
Our conference dinner was held at Customs House. The service, food, and venue were all incredible! The vegetarian options were delicious, filling, and lovingly created oftentimes at conference dinners they are small, lack flavour, and thrown together.
Customs House an awesome venue with a huge wow factor. Views over the river and Story Bridge. I’ve photographed heaps of weddings at Customs House and it never disappoints, with so many options for beautiful photography. Food is incredible also! ig @ gabrielveitphotography
The food is ok, but I love the way they make the gnocchi soft inside and crispy outside. It’s more about the riverside view, and the building belongs to UQ?
High tea is absolutely divine! The setting and views are stunning and the menu also delivers! It’s a great setup and I love the river breezes while enjoying afternoon tea! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and I can’t wait to go back again!
Fantastic venue for our corporate event. Great staff. Love the building and down stairs bar.
