Good curry, Mango Laci not over sweet which is good. And they drove to catch me up and gave me back my mobile phone, as I left it there and totally forgot it! Thanks man!
Had a wonderful banquet between 8 of us. Everything was spiced to the differing levels requested. The food was delicious. There was not enough staff to keep up with the needs for table clearing, replacement cutlery between courses and drinks at our table and other customers coming in to dine or takeaway. But the staff smiles made up for it.
We stopped here on our way to New Plymouth during the Easter 2018 holiday and I was very surprised. Service is great, food tastes fresh, both lamb and chicken melt in your mouth and the spices on the curry were just right. I am a huge fan of Indian food and can say this is one of the best I had in NZ so far. Worth a visit for sure.
This indian restaurant is a hidden gem, they have a great North Indian chef, which means you will get some really good meat dishes. My stand out favourites here are the chicken pakora and lamb seekh kebab. Excellent service and worth trying.
First visit to this place in Huntly. I was amazed by the customer service and quality food. Very neat and tidy place give you a feel of fine dining experience. Would reckon to everyone to give a try once. Truely delighted!!!!
First of all had to wait a hour for 2 butter chickens and 2 naan. The butter chicken isn’t creamy and has absolutely no flavour. The chicken naan was supper oily and tasted like cheese? The garlic naan didn’t even taste of garlic either? What the heck is going on here? I paid $52 for this and had to wait a whole hour yet the place was empty? I’m from Auckland where I can pay $6 for a butter chicken that is creamer and tastes like flavourful butter chicken even if they used cheap ingredients. I can make one phone call and have a butter chicken ready for me within 15mins in Auckland. The service was absolutely garbage will not come back here again. Can’t even finish the food as it’s just so bland
From time of order to collect it was an hour, although the food tastes good they need to work on their execution. Customer service abit slack, having many customers standing outside and Noone from the shop acknowledging them. Could see orders been put on the table and again Noone from shop checked to see if the customer was already there. Again food is good but perhaps abit more work on the customer service.
Delicious food... we ordered butter chicken and karahi chicken along wet garlic Naan and butter roti. Complementary papad on arrival was a delight for us hungry caterpillars reminded of restaurant culture in India.
To be honest, it was a a spur of the moment decision and turned out to be a really lovely experience. Food was authentic and catered to anyone taste. Prices were a little higher than typical Indian fare, but worthwhile considering overall experience. Top points for service, food was promptly served and most notable was the front of house staff member was incredibly friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a second visit.
Really really good Indian food. First time trying on Friday and then ordered again on Saturday. Closest thing to authentic Indian food I've eaten this side of Auckland CBD but in a way still quite distinct and makes me like it more than some of the places on Sandringham Rd. The breyani was lovely and flavoured as well as some I've eaten in Rajasthan - still different to our South African ones but it was exceptionally satisfying. It's what sent me to an Indian restaurant on Fri night- too lazy to make it. Lamb seekh was the best I've eaten - the quality and flavour just beautiful, chicken tandoor delicate, moist and beautiful! We ordered vegetarian the next day and all lovely again and passed the taste test by my vegetarian mum! Thank you to the chef and yay to good non western food in the quieter parts of the Waikato! I never buy Indian food that doesn't taste better or similar than my families food which means I will be back here again - most likely every week!
