What is CrossFit
CrossFit is a way to help individuals become physically fit and prepared for anything, from running mountains, stacking wood, playing with kids or simply carrying the groceries. In CrossFit we work out in scheduled classes, available morning and night, with a bunch of other like minded people. We encourage and support each other under the watchful eye of a trained coach. Our work outs are styled in a way that is broad and always varied, switching between cardio, strength, flexibility and endurance. The workouts are designed to be achievable for all fitness levels but will still attempt to push you outside your comfort zone. So no matter who you are, CrossFit is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. Anyone can give it a go, no matter your age, skill or ability. Contact us today and give it a go! CrossFit Taupo isn’t just a normal gym, its more than that, when you join CrossFit Taupo you become part of a team/community. We don’t have big bulky machines, we use our bodies to move, we train hard and play hard and always have fun along the way. Our CrossFit Taupo staff are highly skilled and qualified coaches with a passion for this sport and are wanting to help and support you to achieve goals you may set for yourself. If you enjoyed yourself and would like to give CrossFit a go, you’ll need to undergo our 4 session “CrossFit Introduction Course”.
This course is a small group training sessions taken by our head coach, to give you the best foundation one would need to learn the basic skills and movements to help you familiarize yourself with the sport. By doing this it helps you to understand and learn in a slower paced environment, with a coaches eye close by, this will give you the best success within CrossFit and most importantly minimise any chance of injuries, and increase safety.
Once your completed “CrossFit Introduction Course” your journey begins you are now able to participate in our main stream classes any day of the week.
Crossfit Taupo Bootcamp
Bootcamp is a fun alternative to CrossFit, the classes are physically challenging and rewarding. These style of work outs are group trainings but are designed with more cardio, endurance and bodyweight exercises, alternative to specific sport training and great way to burn fat and increase lung capacity for other areas of your life, because the work outs are more straight forward, anyone can do them, meaning you can jump straight into a class as soon as your ready.
We have a FREE Bootcamp session every Saturday at 9am.
