Authentic french patisserie...total hidden gem, and well worth the trip out to botany for their cakes! We had the almond brioche and choc almond croissant - neither disappointed! We also got an awesome chocolate mousse cake super rich and indulgent 5* without a doubt...and apparently the coffee is good there too!
Must try: the chicken, mushroom cheese toastie was out of this world! Just so moist, herby and the very best bread. If I was a Botany local I would have a very hard job resisting visiting every day. While I just needed a quick bite today they had a very enticing menu of other French items like crepes and galettes would love to try for brunch. Decadent: The classic fruit tart couldn't have been any more perfect. Crumbly base lined with chocolate; moist creme patissiere. Juicy fruit delicately glazed. 10/10. Service: Really friendly, prompt, and they make a killer coffee too . Must get packed on weekends!
Best gourmet sandwich and French pastries, they don’t seems to have any advertisement but let their produce speak for themselves. I discover them by accident while working in the area, expect pay a little more for the sandwich but trust me it is worth it. And remember to grab some mini eclair, at least 6 I recommend.
Yummy food although wasn't happy some rude customer cut infront of me and ordered several things, which meant waiting around till her order was fulfilled until the press could be used to heat my order up. Will be back to try more things and hopefully the customers are nicer next time!
Local French bakery with a delectable range of goodies, from croissants, pastries, cakes and beignets to sandwiches and baguettes if you are looking for lunch options. The croissants are rich and buttery. The choux pastry is OUTSTANDING - eclairs, Paris Brest, St Honore, etc. - and the fillings are always beautiful and light, not too sweet. They do hot cross buns during Easter soft and fluffy, Bastille Day in July sweet crepes, croque monsieur, St Honore, Paris Brest, rum baba, etc. and mince pies at Christmas!
I am simply stumped at some of the negative reviews left here. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been coming here for over 6 years, and have never had an unfavourable dessert or savoury item. The amazing chicken salad that both my friend and I had for lunch today was the best salad I’ve tried. The effort and detail that goes into the food here, I’d actually pay more than what I do. Not to mention how lovely and welcoming the staff are, every single time! It’s a shame I no longer work close, but will happily drive the distance any day of the week!
Simply AMAZING. nothing more or less. Quality, coffee, food and cakes... and the Croquembouche tower is divine.. my go to.. and always happy to travel the long distance to get one of these amazing treats!
Visited Sydney last month and had breakfast from this cafe it was so delicious, will try more items from their menu in my next visit. Good service. Happy customer
We ordered a Concorde cake. It was nice. Whilst there I picked up 2 apple gallettes and a smoked trout quiche. Both had uncooked pastry...we had to throw them away. Not sure what if any quality control is going on, but a basic thing like uncooked pastry should not be happening. Disappointing
Just a quick review: I would need to come back to this place. There’s so much more to try. I had charcoal grilled veggie sandwich, and it was veeery delicious. I didn’t like that much the oily bread but, crunchy, and the rest was a joy for my gustatory pupils. Ice coffe, average. Waiting time: blink of an eye. Mostly, I loved the service. Everyone was smiling and attracted me at first sight, and, for me, it’s the most.
