Good library with plenty of the latest books available to read. Only suggestion I’d make is to please consider an alternative person to run the baby rhyme time. Someone who can actually engage with the children and read and sing in an animated and fun way. We left early today as we couldn’t believe how poorly run it was.
I am sitting, coffee in hand, in this most modern of libraries in Cronulla. The sign at the door sets the tone ‘this is a noisy space’, with suggestions of where to go if you want something quieter. The bistro style cafe offers toasties and smoothies, coffees and cakes and you’ll be served by a pleasantly spoken barrister who makes a lovely cup. It’s really quite relaxed and social, with board games being played at the tables and plenty of space to enjoy. As you’ll see from the pictures, there is actually a quieter end, but it doesn’t have that forbidden silence thing happening that you might find in other libraries. An awesome find. Here again today 15/1 .. and lovin’ it. Drinking coffee, surrounded by books and a crochet club. It’s just great. I haven’t come across this in a library before

Great location and facilities, unfortunately, way too noisy to read, study or think, things you would do in a normal library. Please call it a community centre, there is nothing wrong with that, and it will be much less misleading for people looking for a quiet place. There is no such thing as the "notion of a contemporary public library" as previously mentioned.
Friendly staff and great location but doesn't have enough quiet space. I get that the council has to cater for the whole community including children. With my visits, though, it's resembled more of a community centre someone else said this People were doing business on the phone, mums were coming in and having a good old while the kids played. That's not what a library is for. It needs quiet spaces away from all the noise.
Warm and cosy. Good too because I could recharge my phone. Good access to coffee shop nearby.
I think this is a newish library and the staff are generally helpful. But I must agree with the others: that Library is meant to be a quiet place for those who wants to read and study. Loud noises should not be allowed or encouraged. There's parks and community centers for that. The library should consider this, otherwise you are isolating a lot of your customers. But if that's your goal, then good job. It's sad. Because the modern world is full of noise pollution, people with short attention span, and constant distractions... Many of us love libraries because it's a few places left that provides a safe, quiet place to learn, to focus, and to relax our minds.
