This school is really bad and you will face a lot of bullying, the teachers don’t care and if someone is crying they would laugh and walk away. Also the uniform policy is very strict but they don’t care if you walk with looooooong nails or 100000kgs of make-up. Just want to clarify that coming here was my lifes most biggest mistake that i’ve now learn’t from. Plus, since mrs cook left the school become trash they don’t even care if you study. Just play games 24/7……..my advice if you come here. My experience here has been miserable. But now it’s not my problem because i’m leaving this school. BUT I MEAN IT NEVER COME HERE DON’T EVEN THINK OF IT. Clyde secondary or st peters are waaaay better.
Good school. It's pretty diverse. Everyone is welcome, and fights though do take place, teachers take every measure to limit them. There are some kids with anger issues but you can't really expect much for a public school. A lot of resources, a platform for kids who overachieve and a platform for kids who do not achieve. While most teachers are very good at what they do for me, most of the subs are quite awful. They are either not experienced at all, there is one teacher who doesn't even know how to speak english properly, but the students manage as she does post the lesson plan. Punishments are given out regularly. Rubbish is a negative, but there are constant attempts to clean this up, and I admire the school for that. Bullies, are literally almost zero, unless you have personal vengeance with someone which is pretty common. If you do get bullied, it's pretty easy to get them away. The teachers take action very quickly, sometimes they are pretty oblivious. Teachers are pretty experienced, SUBS are awful though. It might be good for the students because its essentially way to just get a free period, however SUBS are very rare so thats not exactly common. Library has a lot of books, there are restrictions on books that are for senior kids, which is a feature I don't enjoy but I like it as it shows some restrain on the literature children are exposed to. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and all those famous novels are available. ARCHITECTURE IS AMAZING, buildings are quite clean, you might see some wrappers but they get cleaned up almost instantaneously. Education wise, it has the essentials and little bit more. It maybe too reliant on teaching LGBT+ as half of the curriculum encompasses it, for Health, Humanities and L4S. Math is honestly amazing, they provide a couple of subscriptions for practise which is wonderful, along with a decent amount of teachers, some teachers are overlyqualified, some can't even speak english like I mentioned. VAPING IS A HUGE ISSUE, the teachers have implemented, these workshops to convince us to stop vaping but it's stopping most of the kids. I once went into a bathroom and saw this guy in my yearlevel blow out a lot of smoke from this rectactgular small box, which I surmised was a VAPE. School can't exactly do much about this, but definetley lacks in this criteria. Just make sure your child doesn't make friends with the wrong people, because one of my friends was peer-pressured and now he's practically addicted which is unfortunate, not schools fault, just the children. As you can image, it is a public school, BUT SPORTS WISE. THEY OVERQUALIFY, THEY HAVE A GIANT BASKETBALL, THING CALLED THE COLA, AND THEY HAVE CRICKET NETS ALONG WITH SOCCER NETS, which are ripped, but I respect it anyway. 3-4 VOLLEYBALL COURTS, for recess you can also borrow a tennis ball, volleyball, soccerball, rugby ball, or any ball, however you do have to return after lunch. BUT HONESTLY AMAZING FOR SPORTS. First Aid, is pretty chill, they have the essentials, I am quite sure their Staff for First Aid is quite experienced. They have stretchers, and remedies, for like a popped vessel or a scab that won't heal. The downside is that fact that, racial slurs are the most unfortunate thing, especially some certain racial groups, say things like "Currymuncher, bombers, N-," and all sorts of slurs like this. Students are very careful to use this with teachers, because if a teacher did hear them use these they would definitely get a giant punishment. Education - 7.7/10 Sports - 8.9/10 Workshops and covering teenage things PUBERTY, VAPING - 8.5/10 Space for children - 8/10 First AId - 7.9/10 Punishment and vape controlling - 6.5/10 Fights - 8/10 not common Buildings - 9/10 Hygiene and bathrooms - 5/10 Library and resources - 8/10 OVERALL - 79.5% BETTER THAN MOST PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS YOU COULD ENCOUNTER
10/10 school great education and nicest teachers
Even though the orange building looks nice, its a crusty, musty, dusty school. Full of racist and rude people. Getting bullied and being misrable is 100% guaranteed within every year level execpt if you're in y11-12 VCE or if you are a popular kid who vapes. Everyone in the school lacks education and they only reward the people who bully others, get average in grades, annoy other classmates and are just horrible people in general.Coming here I've had a terrible experience and would not like others to go through the same thing. Therefore, be mindful before enrolling your child into this school so they don't leave the year with 50 medicial problems due how bad it is and how bad the students and staff are. -_- Also the grading system is so trash. English teachers in lower year levels can never grade higher than average no matter how good your writing piece is and how much effort you put into your work. Their only achievement is high marks for English in VCE when in reality, they only care about how the student is doing in English even when they are lacking in basic math like finding the gradient in the given function: y=2x-3. Teachers honestly never apperciate a students effort especially if you're quiet, smart and introverted. As a smart person exceling in academic studies, I have to face problems like being used by everyone I'm surrounded by and having to give them answers not matter how badly they treat me. People really have no life and just come to school to get into relationships. This school really just need to stop caring so much about their uniform and stop ruining students mental health. Year level leaders and welbeing team is also no help. Also for those people calling the 1-star reviews fake, you're just invalidating other students expirences at this school. Also, the grading system is weird, I got a B in food tech when I accidentally burned the oven.
i went to this school and on the second day ms battle showed me a poo
most people dont wear deodorant
i just got here and there are so many transphobes! 5 stars.
To be honest, everything is mixed up more of the negative reviews are true 100%. Also, there is a lot of rubbish on the school grounds and even in the classes no one takes responsibility, and I recommend not sending your child here unless they are willing to. Lastly, most people feel lonely and get bullied.
they have the worst staff in my year level. they lack tolerance and formality. they would just call you out. but they do have very little generous teachers, who actually are resilient to such behavior. in my words i made 2 stars for this review because of the staff's unreliability.
No one picks up the phone and goes through voicemail! No option to call front office!!!! Receptionist has a bad attitude! Treated like it’s a jail, can’t even request for children to be picked up 30 minutes early!!!
