Didn’t have the best experience yesterday. Asked if there was table water for my daughter and I, only to be told “it’s over there” where you need to get it yourself. The food tasted like smoke. I’m sorry but in a world where it’s tough and you need good customer service this really lacks.
Probably the first time I’ve had a bad sweet treat for smoko. My intention was to find a cuppa and a cake. A treat to look forward to. The lemon drop mini tart was a flavoured chewy disappointment, the vanilla slice was a 2 years at warp speed past its use by but nicely coved in icing sugar to cover the plasticine pastry and the most disappointing is the almond croissant that should be returned to the Olympic vaulting competition for the landing pad. I can only assume these treats had spent the weekend in someone’s sports bag in the laundry then resuscitated with a coating of sugar and inflicted on me. The tea was nice. Yuk yuk yuk.

Lively atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was great and service was quick. I had the Eggs Florentine. The hollandaise was fresh and zesty. Yummy!!

Started buying coffes there as i was helping my son reno his house .Told my son since he moved in the area this was a good coffee shop.It was lunch time and i said to my son do you want a coffee he said yes and can you get me a egg bacon roll.On returning my son began eating the egg and bacon roll and said it tastes like plastic.I said give me a taste and i could not chew it.No worries when i get coffee tomorrow iwill ask for another roll. The owner refused and said i should have taken a photo.the roll was still in the bin but i wasnt going to waste my returning .But i have to thank him we now go to other corner cafe in eltham the sevice is good and the food edible
Cornercaf Eltham is my favourite cafe. I go there every morning for a hot chocolate and basically every day for lunch. You’ve got to try their souvlaki! Highly recommend. Breakfast meals are amazing and so is there COFFEE! If you haven’t tried them out yet, you must.. Customer service is absolutely amazing. I always walk out with a smile on my face!
You have to order at the counter - no signs that we could see to confirm that so we sat for a while. Staff were all friendly but very busy on a Saturday, late morning. A really nice vibe sitting outside with the dog. Nobody was bothered by our giant dog standing in the middle of the seats and us having to push her out of the way because she's a stubborn great dane - everyone was so lovely. So glad to be able to find pancakes with eggs and maple syrup - I have to custom order everywhere! The pancakes are nice but soo thick that they didn't cook properly. Eggs were perfect and I heard the bacon was good. Iced latte's are far too big though - like a milkshake glass. Would return.
WORST Cafe I’ve been too. DON’T WASTE your time! The waitress completely brought out the wrong order after 1 hour wait! No apology . Wanted a refund the Greek owners refused started arguing with us . No apology , no refund. Just deflecting the blame Shifty Greek owners!
