I've never had good chips from here, they always burn them until they taste more like potato roasties. I actually bought my own deep fryer and make my own now because they never did them correctly. Their burgers are pretty good though.
The best piece of hoki from a takeaway ever! The batter was so thin it was amazing! New people were running the shop. We've always loved Cookies Takeaways regardless....Such friendly owners and delicious food
This place is the worst chip shop in Dunedin. Literally everything is bad, the size, the flavour, the cost, the service from the people running it as well as decor. The oil tastes like it's barely changed and that's if your food isn't undercooked or overcooked. They just don't care. Save your money, go elsewhere. Anywhere else.
It's fine if you haven't got time to go further afield or your short a Bob at the end of the week. Food fills your tummy. Best eaten hot and fast.

When in Chorstorphine and feeling hungry have a look at this place. This place makes the best battered onion sausage's in Dunedin. The food here is always cooked just right with a large variety of Chinese and standard fish and chip fare. Try the battered onion sausage. Just yummy.
