Community Action Youth Service supports young people from 12-25 yrs. We offer many services.
The Community Action – Youth Service (formerly Cooloola Youth Service) provides a range of housing and other support services for young people aged 12-25. Our Resource Centre is located at 24 Lawrence Street in Gympie. We have lots of information for young people and if we can’t directly assist, we can refer to someone who can.
Resource Centre Business Hours:
9.30am – 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
1.00pm – 4.30pm on Wednesdays

If you are aged 12—25 years and you need assistance but don’t know where to turn, drop in and have a chat with one of the friendly team at the Community Action-Youth Service at 24 Lawrence Street, Gympie. We have loads of information about young people’s issues and if we can’t directly help you, we can refer you to someone who can.
Emergency Relief
Monday-Friday 1:30pm-3:30pm
If aged 12—25 years assistance may be provided, on referral from Centrelink, with emergency relief for:
Food
Accommodation
Transport
Medical assistance
Emergency payment of bills
Referrals to specialist services
We can alsoprovide budgeting assistance.

Help with income difficulties

Young Womens Network (YWN)

Sexual health information & support
Pregnancy/family planning support

Information on safe sex & contraception
Pregnancy tests
Referrals to specialist services & advocacy

Support & personal development
Someone friendly to talk to in a nice safe environment
Group Activities
Fortnightly Young Mums Group is held at the HUB Thursday at 1:30pm.
A fortnightly group call The Hoot will be held Wednesday at 1.30pm.. This includes food and activities.
