Just horrible. Been a customer forever, for the first time need to contact bank for urgent help because of unauthorised transaction on my account, but to be able to reach for help can only be done via app, so you have to download an app to solve a fraud problem, not exactly something comfortable to do, then app locks you out and asks for your card password, more uncomfortable procedures, so you decide to use the phone, after over half hour wait the call drop, call again, asked for email or any other way to help, none, a bank, with all that money, but zero support to customers when needed. Shocking. Please, have better ways of contact so customers can reach you, have online chat, email, more people on the phones. This is just horrible customer support.
Customer Service is terrible in this bank as I had an awful experience disputing the money I paid with my business Credit Card for the order from China. It's just impossible to contact them over the phone and they also fail to respond to emails in general. Every time I had to go to the branch to find out the progress of the dispute. The case was under the "investigation" for nearly 3 months and the Bank refused to refund my money regardless of all proof of faulty products provided. The same case was opened with another bank it was the split payment for the same order and I was refunded within two weeks. I am extremely disappointed they handled the issue and the bank showed zero loyalty and respect to their customer. By the end of this year, I will definitely cease all my business and personal accounts with Commonwealth bank.
Your customer service is getting worse and worse; being on hold for nearly half an hour. What about a call back service. You are making enough money to either staff your customers centres better or call your customers back! Your customer's time is as valuable as yours!!!
They take credit by saying all they call centers are in Australia but they also say the minimum phone wait time they say is 35 mins. it is as absolutely applying service. I would have rather gone on-line or to a branch by apparently my issue can only be fixed over the phone. It shows how low quality CBA is becoming.
Absolutely appalling service. Used to work with them when customer service was real. Branches have closed so no choice to sit idly on the phone. An hour so far. Already moved the the bulk of my ,knee to Macquarie. The remainder about to happen. Do not bank with them or any of the big 4.
I’ve faithfully been with the Commonwealth Bank for 37yrs and no other bank. Leaving now. Wait times of over 4hrs. Running joke in the office “need to take a day off, need to call the Commonwealth Bank.”
Don’t trust this bank , Our credit card was scammed for 2000 dollars. They not only say it was our fault , they even say we gave them authorisation for transactions to be made. They usually send us messages, app confirmation no for transactions of 150 dollars to get through and this hacker made it to 1700 transaction and no message was ver sent to us to confirm it. Instead of looking after your money and go and find the scammers they will easily blame it on you for no reason than a made up on by them Shame on this bank Very disappointed
What an absolute joke the Commonwealth Bank has become. Over 5 hours spent on hold over a 3 day period while trying to rectify problems that shouldn’t have even been problems in the first place. Customer service is obviously not a core part of their business anymore.
I am living in Indonesia and have kept my CBA accounts and home loan, but am about to move to another bank. Called today to change my phone number on Netbank. The only way to change this is to call. Was told wait time is 1 hour. The representative told me the only way to reduce this wait time is to call at 8am AEDT - which is 5am for me. Just unacceptable. CBA - get some more call centre operators. I can't stand hearing "...where all our call centres are located in Australia..." because every single time I call, I also hear "...wait times are 30 mins to 1 hour". I would personally prefer you move your call centres back offshore, and respond to calls more quickly. Better yet, have a callback feature like most modern companies have ie when I call iiNet, they just call me back when they are free. Or if you guys really care about customer service, change your system so people can update basic information like phone numbers without calling your silly call centres. I understand you need to be careful in the age of scammers and identity thieves, but just have great security. I am 100% fed up with your wait times and ridiculous systems and am actively looking for another banking option after 30 years with CBA. Just thought you should know.
Worst customer service ever. I have been with commwealth bank for over 30 years and the customer service is the worst. I spoke to a Rebecca on the phone and she was rude and just didn’t care. I was on hold for over 40mins before someone picked up the phone and it was an emergency as I couldn’t access my money and she didn’t care. My home loan is with another company and after this experience I’m thinking of changing everything to the other company. Comm bank you need to change your ways
