Have known the guys at Collingwood Auto and have been a customer for over 20 years now. In that time they have looked after all company cars as well as all my families’ vehicles. During that time what I have appreciated the most is their HONESTY. Previously to meeting John and Ray at Collingwood Auto, I had gone to many mechanics including dealerships and in all cases I had bad experiences of one kind or another. Avoid this business at all costs. They ceased my engine after a service and chased me out the shop aggressively when I went to tell them about it. They tried to rip me off with the air con re-gas saying it needed a technician, when another garage did a straight forward re-gas. They also replaced the water pump which is leaking after a year. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this place. They shouldn't be allowed to trade. I am unable to give them less than 1 star but they deserve minus.

Very happy to have been a customer here for 20 years. May not the cheapest, but when you look around at the spotless workshop; staff in uniform; and general level of organisation - you certainly get what you pay for.

Be careful these people try to charge you more and tells you lies for parts that not need to change. They don't let you to stay in the workshop area as they say for safety reasons and try to charge you more and more every time that you go there.

These guys are the hard-to-find trustworthy type of mechanic that have always done the right thing by me. As an example, my Audi Dealership advised I needed new brakes front and rear and quoted almost $2500 to replace discs and pads all around (this price was no surprise, it is an Audi after all). I knew Collingwood Auto could do the job for a lower cost with equivalent Euro Parts, and Ray advised the cost would be in the region of $1000 for all 4 corners. Part way through the day Ray called to tell me the brakes are fine, in fact the rears are like new! When I returned to collect the car, there was no charge, even though they'd cleaned the car inside and out and replaced a couple of globes for me.
