Absolutely ridiculous. Most times we come to try and swim laps nearly every lane is being used for kids lessons and there is only one “swimming” lane that is filled with old people who only walk. No matter if it’s during the day or the evening, so when are people who work supposed to come and swim laps? Seems like the pools only prioritise schools and children, not swimmers who also pay for a membership to swim laps in the pool. There seems to be only very limited hours where all lanes are open which isn’t really fair or inclusive for people who work that are wanting to use the pool facilities. When confronting one of the receptionists about this, she just came across as rude which honestly makes me just want to cancel my membership as driving all the way to the pools to find out I can’t even swim is absolutely infuriating.
Great gym that feels very inclusive and chill, feel good coming here as a trans non binary person. Even the gym bros are pretty chill.nnShout out Deanna one of the PTs there, my experience has been amazing.nDeanna has so much time and is always happy to have a chat and adjust your routine.nnVery person centred and holistic approach, really helpful around not just muscle gain but nutrition and the mentality around training. Would recommend!
This swim center has some fantastic instructors, like Claire and Julie, who bring great energy to the toddler classes! The program is structured by age rather than skill level, which means it can take a year or more to advance to the next stage. This setup may not be ideal for the older or more advanced babies in a class.nnThe facilities are clean, including the family changing area, which is well-maintained and spacious enough. Having an on-site café is a nice bonus.nnHowever, one downside is that the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are predominantly used by men, which can feel intimidating. A designated time for female use would make these amenities more inclusive. Unfortunately, this has discouraged me from getting a membership, as not everyone can comfortably access all the facilities.nnThat said, we will continue using this swim center for kids’ swimming classes, as the instructors and learning environment are great for little ones.
Oh my god the smell. Ive never been to a pool that smelled that strongly of chlorine in my life. We instantly began feeling unwell. But we paid, so we stayed for a bit. The steam room worried me a tad as I was now wondering how many chemicals I was deeply inhaling.nWe were both heavily nauseous for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Don't think I'll be back.nAlso $8 to swim but an extra $7 just to sit in the steam or sauna room for a maximum of 15mins is highway robbery.
I can't speak for the overall facility because i only use the gym. The gym is well equipped and has a good cross-section of people of different ages and cultures, which makes it no-threatening.nIf you are looking for a good personal trainer, ask for Deeana. She is genuinely interested in her clients and I have yet to hear a bad word about her.
