The food is basic but done well. Very filling for the average eater. We ordered entrees, mains and dessert but the food took a while to come out considering there were not many customers. I think the kitchen cooks for in house guests too. Other than the long wait for food the food itself was good.
Overall experience was lovely. Nice clean bedrooms. Building is from the 1800s but has been well maintained and presented well. Enjoyed the atmosphere amd history of the building : Downsides: no elevator or lift so bags have to be carried up the stairs. Restaurant has limited options and prices are a bit steep. We didnt eat here for these reasons.
Excellent lodgings, clean, huge room, felt very posh. Super nice people running the hotel, I arrived late and they hung around to give me my key and greet me. They put a microwave in my room as requested. Top marks, will stay here again.
This place surpassed my expectation. On the outside, it looks dated, but it has been fully refurbished inside. Rooms and bathrooms are large with spa and double basin. All amenities are provided, including room slippers. Car parking on site and if it’s full, just ask for a voucher to park in the undercover car parking next door. Great value for money.
pros: room and bathroom conditions are so great. spacey but cosy. staff are kind. breakfast was delicious for us. nothing to complain for cleaning. free car park. cons: no elevator at all. hard to park the car at nighttime. overall, want to stay again.
Location is great and staff are friendly. The hotel is quite nice with has all the facilities you need for your stay. Only thing is, it's an old building so no lifts but they do offer to bring your luggage up for you if you need them to.
After 5 nights throughout Tassie, the beds here were by far the most comfortable. This hotel is a great choice for luxury and comfort. High quality soaps and a shower with no leaks and big enough to dance in.
Nice hotel. really convenient. The restaurant staff is really nice. The gentleman at the reception for the check in was really helpfull and lovely, however the lady at the reception the day after wasn’t really hospitable. The gym is old and there isnt air con. The cleaness of the room was excellent ! I loved the big room !
Wonderful heritage accommodation. Very luxurious. I've stayed here a couple of times in different rooms and they are impressive. Very nice staff who make the stay doubly enjoyable.
I'm a business traveller and have been staying at the City Park Grand for the past 8 years. The renovations are beautiful. The place has great character. The rooms are luxurious with clock radio that has both iPad and iPhone docking. The only motel I've stayed at that has one of these! The quality of the pillows bedding is excetptional too. The large flat screen TV and DVD player is also important to me. Staff are friendly and food of a high standard.
