Cicciolina has been a St Kilda institution since 1993.

Story

There is something deliciously attractive about drinking good wine with abandon in a busy, cosy, well-run Acland Street restaurant on a balmy Saturday night. The food tastes better. Relationships feel brighter. The crowd seems more interesting. You bump into people you haven't seen for years. And after the wine and food have taken proper hold, you introduce yourself to people who had perhaps planned on a slightly more private dinner that particular night (sorry about that, famous comedienne and partner).

It's what I'd call a proper night out.

It was a meh experience. I had cotolleta with a deconstructed salad. The apple had been sliced with its sticker on... So there was thin slivers of plastic throughout. I told the waiter but there was no acknowledgement that this was bad form a small discount? a small dessert? Disappointing. Shoddy standards.

Superb. Staff are well groomed and have knowledge of the menu. Food is fresh quality and so delishious.. it's not loud that so it's wonderful to be able to eat chat relax and really enjoy and watch everyone go by. Thankyou
There's good reason for Cicc to have the same core menu items they had when they opened about 27 years ago. Still exquisite food. Fast professional relaxed service. A Melbourne institution. A must visit for anyone
The night started with a glass of wine filled with tartrate crystals, then bubble gum stuck to my pants from under the table . . . followed by a truly rude waitress and mediocre meal. The worst experience I've had in St Kilda and the greater Melbourne. Dumbfounded how this place receives 5 stars ?????!!!!!
