Exceptional everything : quality of food, service and atmosphere. Definitely has a good homely feel about it. Can be busy with a lot of walk in’s . If you waiting for a table - plenty of things to look at or shop for traditional Japanese kitchenware and giftware. The canine has unique old factory/warehouse look - spacious and comfortable.
Couldn’t speak highly enough of the joint, all accessible and fantastic coffee, foodeven though the kitchen was closed, we got a lovely little soup and there were bakery items and amazing staff! We got a few Christmas presents from the joint aesthetically pleasing shop, it was a delight as always! Worth the tedious walk from the tram station
Wow. Wow. Wow. We had the More Vegetable Japanese breakfast set and it was amazing. Felt so healthy and alive eating such wonderful whole foods. The Japanese niknaks market was so enticing, we spent more than an hour after browsing and bought some small items.
Good was delicious, but a tad on the pricey side for the portion size. Coffee was good and staff were friendly and attentive, even provided some water for my pup. Didn’t get a chance to check out the shop inside but will definitely return for a browse in the future.
Great concept & nice location.nThere’s a small coffee bar, open plan dining area combined with a small grocery store.nWhen we arrived, there was no table yet. So, the server took our name and let us walk around the store while we wait.nFood presentation is great, however taste is just ok in my personal opinion.nFirst photo is the ‘Ultimate’ set with a few more side dish compared to the ‘Traditional’ vegetarian set shown on the 2nd photo.n3rd photo is a weekend special of chicken Karage that was on offer at the time of my visit.
