The Addington railway station inside was clean, and they had the A/C on, so it was a cool place to wait. The train staff is excellent. So professional and courteous. I have always wanted to take a train ride. I want to bring my family next time. Unique experience for an affordable price. Relax and enjoy the ride. Absolutely a beautiful place to park the car and get the train. I love getting on the train here whether I am heading North or West. It does not go East or South. Clean and well-maintained. The outside is gorgeous! Staff are polite and helpful.

Great station. Friendly staff. No food or retail opportunities.

Scenic tour to Arthur’s Pass, two hours trip didn’t feel that long with amazing view through the big windows. The train also serves hot food on the catering car. Suggest to go check in earlier to avoid the tour crowds.

The check in for the baggage was quick and easy and the train was really good with the 4 seating everywhere so my family could sit together. The view was crazzyyy good and we saw so many animals like Dolphins,seals,llamas,black swans,sheep etc. I loved the mountain view of the sea and my kids had so fun counting all the seals on the way. I also liked that you could listen about the area around you. I loved the back wagon where it was open with a rail and you could see out better. Probably the best train experience I've had.
