Chinese Visa Application Service Center

We were pleasantly surprised at how smooth and easy it was to get our China visas. I have read some reviews that were poor and thus prepared for a long wait, but no, from when we were seated there was not even time to view my crossword clues before being called to the service application window. A nice young lady scanned our application forms and confirmed that they were correctly completed, and then handed us a ticket with a pick-up date less than a week later, which itself was an extremely quick process. I didn't even have time to take out the crossword before we were called to the pickup window, where we were shown the visas before paying. All staff were very pleasant and the entire process rapid and painless. Thank you very much. RECOMMENDATION: ensure you have fully and properly completed your application forms. If unsure, ring the office and they will give you good advice.

Unless you have everything EXACTLY as requested then don't waste your time, e.g. email confirmation of accommodation isn't sufficient evidence of where you are staying. 4 separate visits each time with different issues, they're very rude and unhelpful. Ended up getting the visa in Hong Kong on stop over and was much easier and quicker. I'll avoid in the future and go with the mail option or go elsewhere.

As my previous experience,Mail service is better than face-to-face service. It's more efficient and they will ring you to let you know if you need to submit further documents.

When you first arrive, you are asked whether you have already made a copy of your passport. But this is not specified in the application info, so you are caught and have to pay and do it yourself using the machine there. This requirement seems extremely absurd, as you have to hand in your passport to get a visa, so the copying should be part of the service given you have to pay a lot of money to get a visa. Apart from this, the face to face service is cold and makes one feel unwelcome
