Chequers has the BEST takeaway pizza in the North. Pizzas are loaded with fresh toppings and plenty of cheese. Joseph does an excellent job putting his top of the line pizza oven to use to deliver an tasty, satisfying pizza. You will not be disappointed.
I have been getting checkers pizza for quite some time now and was a fan to begin with but after ordering the combo no.1 consisting of 1 large pizza, garlic bread and a 1.25ltr bottle of soft and receiving garlic pizza instead of my garlic bread twice i stopped eating there. So after many weeks of going to a different place i decided i would give checkers a last chance and I was VERY disappointed! I ordered a small godfather pizza and a gnochi carbonara, which would by far have to be the worst gnochi carbonara EVER! It was runny and just tasted horrible! So i recommend staying away from that! As for the pizza it was cold. Upon arrival i was told that my order would be ready in 3 min which it was the gnochi was cooking and the pizza was on the shelf, no idea how long it was there for. Once the gnochi was ready it sat there and the staff served and handed out other oders while i waited rather impatiently for my order to be given to me, after a long 15 minutes i received my runny horrid tasting carbonara and my cold pizza which had been sitting there for 20 minutes. So my advice go to another place as I have only had disappointing experiences the last few times that I went. I wanted to Tell my experience as i have NEVER had such poor service from anyone EVER!
I was a regular client of Chequers Pizza Watsonia and in the many, many pizza's I've eaten from here, I've never had a complaint, however they closed and reopened under new owners, I went down and bought 2 x large pizza's $20, 1 x super special, I saw them being made, lots of toppings looked good, when we ate them they were very tasteless, cheese tasted like cardboard, no hot salami, olives bland etc..... and 1 x meatlovers and again all tasteless, in fact upon eating a piece of each pizza you couldn't distinguish between them because they both tasted the same....TASTELESS, sorry Chequers but unless you change the quality of your toppings, I can't recommend or be a return client. They say never judge a book by its cover, that's exactly what i did and i was completely surprised, pizza was nice, parma and actual fresh fried chips which is rarely seen in a pizza joint, and service with a smile! by far the best one the street
Wow this place is fantastic!! Great new set up and the food is fantastic loved every bit... you guys have to try it out. The new owners are also very nice and have great customer service

This establishment was brilliant under the previous owners, not so any more. New folks have changed a few items, generally not successfully. Still patronize the place but only when my other store is closed.

Absolute rubbish , bugger all toppings ordered once and never went back davincis is 10 times better although more expensive its worth the price difference i got more taste out of a frozen pizza from here AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND THERE GARLIC FOCCACIAS ARE TERRIBLE
