Worst pharmacist service, but one of the best service recoveries thanks to AlanannI visited the store to purchase a humidifier and was looking for some advice on the different products available. I completely understand that staff may not know every product in detail, and I would have been perfectly happy with a simple “I’m not sure.” With so many options available, I was only seeking some guidance.nnI first approached a staff member in blue, who asked me to wait in the area for someone to assist me. A short while later, she returned and advised me to speak to the pharmacist instead.nnI then approached the pharmacist, whose name I believe was Ye Yi apologies if I’ve misspelled her name. Unfortunately, the interaction was extremely disappointing. When I asked for assistance, she immediately told me to speak to the front counter. I explained that the front counter staff had referred me to her. She rolled her eyes and began ranting that it was actually their job to help me, before saying, “Fine, I guess I can help you,”something like this along the line in a very dismissive and unsatisfactory tone.nnAs a customer, I felt as though I was being made to feel unwelcome for simply asking for assistance before making a purchase. The way she spoke and behaved was so unprofessional that I chose not to let her serve me and walked away.nnI then returned to the front counter and asked to speak with the manager. Thankfully, Alana stepped in immediately. She sincerely apologised on behalf of the store and personally assisted me throughout my purchase. Her professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help completely turned around what had been a very negative experience.nnAlana deserves recognition for the outstanding service recovery she provided. She went above and beyond, and in my opinion, demonstrated the qualities of an excellent manager.nnI would encourage the store to review the attitude and customer service displayed by Ye Yi. While I fully understand that retail and pharmacy environments can be busy, a polite explanation such as, “I’m sorry, we’re very busy at the moment, Can I come back to you later?” would have been completely acceptable. However, that was not the casenhere. From what I observed, she was simply standing there before I approached her, and I believe the store’s CCTV would accurately reflect the interaction.nnI hope this feedback is taken constructively so that future customers do not have a similar experience.
I understand bag checks are standard procedure.nnHowever, after I clearly showed my receipt, the security staff still held onto my personal items and refused to return them immediately.nnThis was unnecessary and inappropriate.nnI felt unfairly treated and embarrassed.
Ramandeep was very helpful selecting the cour lip liner I was looking for, even though she was the security guard! I wish all staff were this helpful and I highly recommend her doing a great job!
Minus one star for the security girl.nI’ve shopped here many times and most staff are friendly.nUnfortunately, the security staff today spoke in a very commanding way, without greeting or allowing time to respond.nClear instructions are fine, but basic courtesy would make a big difference.
I was stopped for a bag check while other customers were allowed to leave without being checked.nI fully cooperated and showed my Coles receipt immediately, which clearly listed the items.nDespite this, the security staff held onto my items for several minutes and behaved in a rude and dismissive way.nI felt embarrassed and unfairly singled out.nVery disappointing experience.
