It's never, ever a quick trip in here. The staff stocking shelves are friendly and happy to help you find items. But the pharmacy section is incredibly slow. If they say it's a 30 minute wait, you're guaranteed to still be waiting 1 hour later. They just dont seem to have enough staff, which isnt the staff's fault but management need to address it. Some of the pharmacy assistants can be a bit short and rude too unfortunately, but the pharmacists themselves are usually all lovely. The gentleman with the short fluffy hair and waistcoat that works on the check outs at the front of the store looks like he hates his job and has never once cracked a smile or been friendly or even cordial. However the man with the long ponytail and waistcoat is really kind and super helpful and seems to really enjoy helping customers. He's great!
Pharmacists are never in a hurry although ample stuff. You will wait min 25min for script. Often wont go out of their way to be helpful. Other staff on the ground are helpful. Now going somewhere else. Its actually not cheaper than other chemists.
The staff recommended an alternative product with similar effects. I bought both to try, and I appreciate the gentleman’s help.
This is the worst chemist and store I have ever shopped in. No longer a customer. From their poor customer service skills to staff having no idea how to do their jobs and they admitted they don’t train juniors, staff can’t use promotional offers wasting customers time and money, 45 minute wait on single prescriptions after told 15 mins, then 2 weeks ago I purchased a mascara, I did notice the seal on the box was open but didn’t take much notice as it was the only one there. Almost a week later when I opened it, it was, runny with lumpy and chunky bits attached to the brush and not something you’d want to put near your eyes. I took it back and it as told I couldn’t return it as it was 7 days past their return policyJosh didn’t show me this on the receipt, just said its to bad that’s our store policy I said that can’t be right and I’ll check consumer laws, Josh then said he doesn’t know how I stored it or what I’d done with it?? I don’t know how your store stored it or if it was a return or had been used as a tester? JOSH then said if I’d called and said it was faulty then I could have returned it. Very, very odd behaviour. The product was not safe to use, especially near the eye. If JOSH knew his work places policy he’d know he needed to replace or refund depending on the customers choice. Their max 7 day return is for a change of mind which this wasn’t and I weren’t asked at all if I’d like to exchange or refund. Just told No. JOSH was rude and abrupt and smirking. He is an absolute power tripper and seriously needs a lesson in manners, morals, professionalism and work place policy. It’s also illegal and against Australia and QLD Consumer Law to not refund/replace an item that is not safe, as stated, damaged, unusable etc etc. This is even stated on the Chemist Warehouse website. JOSH took the product and said he’ll talk to his manager tomorrow and then they’ll make up their mind and refund over the phone, after stating they can’t? WHAT? Make up your mind. This guy doesn’t deserve a job and especially not in a health store. He has no idea what he’s doing or saying. Then again I was told I should have called if I couldn’t get in before the 7 days, you’re wrong Josh. Absolutely blows my mind the lack of customer care and knowledge. Never will I or my family shop with you again.nnUpdate- today I received a call saying they cleaned the mascara and it’s fine now? How do you clean a mascara? Then I wasted another 15 mins on the phone and I was told they actually don’t have a manager in today after being told yesterday his manager will make the decision and then he called and lied and said his manger fixed it. See below message.nnMessage - it’s Josh, Talked to the manager. Because it’s just over a week so we can’t refund it, we've had it and Given it a bit of a clean Like it looks fine, it's usable Doesn't look clumping. So if you wanna give us a call back you can but we’re not going to be able to refund it, it’s been over a week”nnJosh and your manager who doesn’t work on Sundays can look up Australian consumer law. Also after you’ve played with it and cleaned it explain how you did this and how would I know what you’ve now done to it why would anyone want it back. You will be refunding and I’ll also be sending this to Consumer law. Waste of time!nnThe absolute ridiculous issue over a $15 damaged mascara that was on sale, you’ve lost a whole family of customers and will be addressed by Australia consumers laws and Office of fair trading.nnYou are so wrong Josh and dishonest. Take a look at the law and educate yourself or do you think you’re above it. Bazaar behaviour.nnUnder the ACL, all products including those purchased on sale or clearance are covered by consumer guarantees. Consumers are legally entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.nnThis applies regardless of any return timeframes set by the store, including 7-day return limits.nnRefusing to honour these legal rights is a breach of federal law, and may be reported to: The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission The Queensland Office of Fair Trading
5 Stars to Mitchel who works in the dispensary area. I will travel past the first 5 pharmacies to go 12klms to Chemist Warehose. It's not just the good prices and availability, but rather the Product knowledge and service which is more important to me, and Mitchel is exceptional in both. Great store all round, however, I will always seek out Mitchel if I have any questions. Super helpful and very knowledgeable.
