Solid place for a swim or morning walk depending on time of day parking might be an issue, other than that great place to enjoy the sun
Our special place. Great safe spot for an ocean swim, and good walking distance in both directions on the beach or pathways. We mostly find a park early in the morning.
If you can land a park here, pat yourself on the back! A great beach for those seeking slightly smaller waves and a bit more protection from the swell - so it's perfect for families and kids who want to get on the boogie boards - and it is a patrolled beach. Great launching spot for an ocean swim, you'll see plenty of swimmers at sunrise congregating here. Outdoor showers and a toilet block are located here, but there's no hot water so you'll need to go further down the Spit if you want to warm up after a swim.
We went there in the afternoon and got a carpark without hassle. Beach was beautiful, water was warm. Was comforting to see some flags to swim between fir the kids. Nice to know the beach is being patrolled. Shower facilities were handy also before leaving the beach. Great spot.
