So cheap - many of the products are nearly or past their best before date, but still perfectly fine. And so many vegan options! Definitely worth a shop for discount groceries!
I love Cheaper By Miles - it’s such a great concept to save money & reduce food waste. Their new store is a lot more spacious which makes the shopping experience a bit nicer as it’s always busy. You can expect to find goods 50-90% off RRP. Most of the items have quite a decent amount of time before they expire too - usually a month or so. My most recent shop would have been $140 at normal retailers but only cost me $23. Staff are very friendly, especially Sahur at the register.
It is what you see and what you pay for. Decor is basic basic basic. Prices are low low low. Many items are close to or on “best before” dates. We have bought many things “on sale/special” and we have never been sick. If you want to complain about the shelf tidiness, the floors and the decor, please go somewhere else! This place is serving a large underprivileged population, not your eastern suburban high income earner! Staff are super busy and try to be happy and to help … but not everyone has the right mindset to work or visit here. We like it because we can get some really exotic items. :
It's smaller shop compared to the one at Newmarket. They sell items that are close to or after best before date at a heavily discounted price. Lots of sweets stuff but there's also frozen food, dairy products, and sourdough.
Our all time favourite shop in Footscray. Upcycling products that would otherwise be thrown to waste. You never know what you'll be leaving the store with! So many goodies to find! Love it
This place is a gem. Wherever it moves around Footscray I have followed. Some items I’ve bought in the past are super pricey online. Staff are alway working hard, always friendly and happy to help.
