Have been going to chatterbox for years. The quality has never dropped, the prices have remained low and affordable despite ingredient costs sky rocketing. The staff genuinely care about all their regular customers. They're upfront about wait times, but often prepare the food far sooner. 110% these guys are a people over profit business.
Don’t let these negative reviews deter you. Decent feed at a good price for mainly university students. Service with a smile too! Always looking forward to eating here whenever I’m on campus. : Keep it up!
Both times I’ve eaten here the food has taken at least 15 minutes to be “cooked” but it comes out cold. I had the Thai salad and there was way too much fish sauce and the meat tasted gamey and gross. 2018 it was amazing every single time but 2019 has been a huge let down :
Used to use the cafe quite often. Good food and portions in the past, but 2019 has been disappointing. Changed menu. Last 2 dishes were chicken and rice based, on both occasions 5 small pieces of chicken in dish. Watched person behind counter serve and it’s been intentionally served. Not worth pice paid for food served.
The chicken fried rice gave me food poisoning
2018 was the best. But in 2019 is a let down. Whenever I used to come this year in the cafe, they hadn't fixed the eftpos payment system. They would say that they would repair it. But they not even bothered about it. These are the new staff in the store. The previous staff were the best. Really feel bad.
Tucked way in the back of the campus this place was my go to restaurant for food while attending classes at ECU Mount Lawley. With a good portion to price ratio and tasty noodle dishes I recommend checking it out.
Cheap, fresh, tasty, what more could you want on a uni campus. They also have amazing BBQ pork buns!
Awesome food. The Vietnamese bread rolls are amazing and the coffee isn't of the burnt dirt variety you find at Grindhouse
The new people there never had Efpos. They said they'd have it in week1, now it's week13. They said it was broken but NO they never had it. Closest ATM is about 10mins walk away. It's the 21st century. I used to come here all the time when the other people ran it. Now I don't consider as an option.
